Sorry if this has already been asked somewhere else. I wondered if we could set up a list thread for potential ticket swaps!

I have just bought 4 tickets for Edinburgh on the 7th June 2024, obviously I wouldn’t have bought them if I wasn’t happy to travel but I am in the South and any other UK stadium would be more convenient. Posting on the off chance that someone has done similar, but for another venue and Edinburgh would be preferable for them. I know it is early days for ticket sales, but putting it out there for anyone interested.

I would need to check how to do the swap above board so that both parties are covered. Potentially, we “sell” to each other via an official resale site?

First post - found this particular forum via Google searcing 'Taylor Swift ticket exchange'...

I have 4 tickets in W24 for the 7th June - the opening night in Edinburgh. Unfortunately it clashes with DD2s prom night as she finishes 6th year in school. After assuming we'd find someone willing to swap we appear to be getting close with no success yet hence I'm now appealing to strangers :)

On the off-chance that anyone would have tickets for the Saturday or Sunday in Edinburgh that they'd be willing to swap then please let me know - would consider splitting them - 2 tickets is the real ask however open to anything really. I can sell them on and have plenty of offers from face value to premium prices but they don't solve the problem of getting other tickets.

Appreciate there are multiple scams out there - and that I'm posting with no history - all I can offer is a genuine transaction if it suits anyone to swap - and the assurance that I'd do anything requested to prove my trustworthyness.

there will be scammers on this thread and there will be genuine people here too. If you have tickets think carefully about what protection you actually have from being scammed in a swap scenario.

I'm not saying anyone in particular on here is a scammer, but the new trend seems to be heaps of people claiming to have standing tickets and now saying they need seated in order to engineer a swap. Given how clear the restrictions were on purchasing (and the fact it is bonkers to buy an children standing to a 5hr + show when they won't see anything) doesn't pass the sniff test for me.

Just to clarify, I'm look to swap as I'm now pregnant and super high risk so the hospital have obviously advised against it 😭

@SummaLuvin RIGHT?! 😂 The restrictions literally couldn’t have been clearer!! I don’t understand buying tickets for a gig your kid is desperate to go to but buying tickets that it’s clear they can’t use 🤔🙈

Anyone still looking for tickets - keep an eye on Ticketmaster etc right up to the day. People’s plans change and last minute things crop up which make people unable to go. Realistically it’s the only safe way to buy unless you can do a ticket transfer with someone you know personally!

Why try and sell them directly when you could sell them back to Ticketmaster or through Viagogo. It's much safer. People would have to trust you to send them the tickets when for all they know you might be selling them multiple times.

I know PayPal affords some protection but I wouldn't risk it.

Exactly. They will sell within minutes on TM, but then of course you can't make a profit and there is no protection for the buyer when the transfer goes wrong.

for what it's worth, given the time required to post the boxes anyone with a VIP package can no longer use AXS or TM to resell as it closed for those ticket types weeks ago for June dates.

edit: to add that doesn't mean scammers won't use this info to their advantage and it's still not 'safe' to swap, but just there will be a handful of people have have an unexpected circumstance that means they want to sell, but can't via TM/AXS.

I get that you can't always sell the VIP packages on AXS or Ticketmaster but surely no one needs to sell them on Social media to random people. Surely everyone has a friend or colleague or someone they know locally who would buy the tickets.

Even selling them on Viagogo is better than trying to sell them directly. At least then the buyer would have some protection. You would be really really foolish to buy tickets of someone directly unless you know them.

You can make a profit if you resell your tickets on Ticketmaster. There is a cap but it's pretty high.

Actually you can't make a profit on Ticketmaster. I've just sold some on there and the price I was allowed to charge was what I paid. It's the same on Twickets and AXS.

Ahh, I was certain I'd read that you could so sorry about that. I had another quick google but couldn't see any relevant info. So after fees did you actually make a loss on your tickets? 🫤.
