You know there's a Welsh population in Argentina and I actually think its in paragonia

PossiblyNotOne · 03/07/2023 18:23

Dijon, like the mustard.

octoegg · 03/07/2023 18:25

I met a Bonaparte once, not met one since.

ShadowPuppets · 03/07/2023 18:27

Tinkerbelle. She’d be mid 30s now and by her teens she was going by Bella…

romdowa · 03/07/2023 18:29

I know a Mungo
I was working at Croydon court about 7 years ago and the names of the defendants are up on a board telling people which court room to attend. There were some fab names my favourites were J-den and Ottelie . From the ridiculous to the sublime !

If Sherlock is genuine that takes the prize imo. Can’t imagine how much grief the kid would get at school

AffIt · 03/07/2023 18:31

Mine, which I am frustratingly not going to out myself by repeating.

It's a double-barrelled formation of two Scottish Gaelic names, neither of which are particularly unusual (in Scotland) in themselves, but combined, I'm a Google whack.

MyFaceIsAnAONB · 03/07/2023 18:31

Went to school with a Jera (Jerry with an a, not said like 'jeera').

Everyone else I've ever met, I've known more than one of/know their name from history/culture etc. But never heard Jera before or since.

urghhh47 · 03/07/2023 18:31

i know a little boy called Perseus

Anaemiafog · 03/07/2023 18:31

Worked with a girl called Phoenix. It suits her though.

I have a great niece called Phoenix.

SwankyPants · 03/07/2023 18:34

A baby girl called Albertine.

TomatoSandwiches · 03/07/2023 18:34

Best name was Happy, she was a lovely lady, very kind.
Worst, L' Dean, she was also wonderful but her name, just awful.

MyFaceIsAnAONB · 03/07/2023 18:34

Also spoke once with a lady called Oenone which I instantly loved, but if you google there are lots of them around. Doesn't compete with Jera!

MIBnightmare · 03/07/2023 18:36

Just remembered one from my youth .. small village (imagine Miss Marple type place filled with retired colonels) one such gentleman who sang in our church choir gloried in the first name Aeneas .. we kids of course sniggered constantly.

WotNoUserName · 03/07/2023 18:37

Coolio. Saw him as a toddler when I was having a scan when pregnant. Think he'd be late teens now.

Florissante · 03/07/2023 18:39

Saxon. Family name Axe. (Not someone I know; I saw the name in a newspaper.)

Hohofortherobbers · 03/07/2023 18:40

Amazon, he was a baby in 2012. Wonder how's keeping?

Frith2013 · 03/07/2023 18:44

I had 2 aunties called Happy and 1 called Comfort.

I also knew a Cinderella and a Jazmine (boy) through work. And I went to University with a Mazda.

SageMist · 03/07/2023 18:45

A Spanish girl called Africa. I loved it and wanted to use it when I had my first child, but I had a boy.
