I’ll start, McCain frozen jacket potatoes. Supermarket own brand never cook through properly and it’s so handy to just have one in the freezer

A good winter coat is always worth the money.

Why? Where I go the NHS and private dentists are the same people.

Same people, vastly different treatment and care.

Mutti tinned tomatoes.

Elemis skincare. Since starting using it my skin has never looked better. It’s pricey so I buy it when it’s on offer or via selling groups on Facebook where you can buy it for 1/3rd the retail price.

I feel the same about Elemis, my skin has never looked better, just about to run out of both day and night cream, are you able to say what the FB page is please? it’s a spendy purchase but
so worth it imo

Cars, meat, bread and coffee. I wear designer clothes and find supermarket brands wash better, buy expensive shoes and find clarks comfier, etc.

I think of Clark’s as expensive shoes 🙈

CaveMum · 20/06/2023 22:56

@Gorringe I’ll pm you.

HowAmYa · 20/06/2023 23:04

Childcare 😂

A 'proper' mattress. None of this Simba/Emma crap. The Hypnos!

On the super expemsive side of things id say, Dyson airwrap. Takes me about 3/4 mins in the morning to do my hair. (Though ill admit DP bought me mine, I'd have cried parting with that much money!) I've had more compliments on my hair in the space of 3 weeks than in my entire 36 years!

HowAmYa · 20/06/2023 23:06

On the super expensive but less than a mattress side*

sweetdreamstenasee · 20/06/2023 23:14

Might be a bit controversial as there have been cases of drivers being awful in the past but I always feel much safer getting cabs on the way home over walking back in the dark or taking public transport.

Because you can get an appointment!

Appalonia · 21/06/2023 00:09

Nytol. Being able to sleep, priceless.

GeneandFred · 21/06/2023 00:13

Peloton. So much more than a spinning bike.

plantsandwich · 21/06/2023 00:15

An automatic car over a manual.

@CaveMum @Gorringe
I would also be interested in the Elemis FB page please.

blueicelollies · 21/06/2023 00:31

shoes, mattress, unlimited data and calls

DoAWheelie · 21/06/2023 00:48

Anything that separates you from the ground is worth spending more on IMO.

Shoes, tyres, beds, chairs etc. Life is too short to spend it uncomfortable.

Mummylovesmonkeys · 21/06/2023 00:51

Agree mattress and shoes (though yes-to me Clarkes are expensive)

Andrex toilet rolls

Tena lady (hate other brands!)

glittereyelash · 21/06/2023 00:57

Meat from a butcher, making sauces from scratch, a winter coat, decent shoes for walking, a good foundation, perfume, a barbeque, a pizza oven, wraparound couch, feature wall.

Danikm151 · 21/06/2023 00:58

Kids shoes. It hurts to spend £30 on a pair that will last a few months but the £5 ones from pep and co aren’t good for their feet!

pepsi max- own brand cola just isn’t right

Ben and Jerry’s

PizzaPastaWine · 21/06/2023 00:59

Tweezers

Car

Coffee

Coffee maker

Mountain bike & helmet

Sofa

Light fittings/lamps

Real wooden flooring over laminate

Hand wash

littlehattie · 21/06/2023 01:01

Mattress, good skincare, good quality clothes - they last so long, good pillows and my personal favourite, travel!

erlangshen · 21/06/2023 01:05

rainier cherries, aka white cherries, I can eat kilos!

VitaminX · 21/06/2023 01:12

Decent lightweight kids' bikes with child specific components, if you want to actually use them for getting around rather than just as toys.

Puppies on a roll. Anything else is just nasty.
