Jack Monroe in court today for CCJ stuff?

Don't know if anyone's been following this but Jack Monroe was supposed to be in court today, don't know the latest?

She hasn't fulfilled patreon rewards for years, taken the money though.
Has asked for donation to her private PayPal for presenter triangle, book donations, website repairing and for a libel case that she never filed.

Court was meant to be at 2pm?

I can't help but think that if someone took Nigella, Jamie etc to court for not sending stuff they were supposed too, more media would be interested? Wonder how Jack avoids scrutiny?

She could easily provide Patreon content. For example a video of a recipe or two. Video of kitchen equipment etc. She could give people a pdf of one of her postcards to print at home.

The people questioning the motives of the claimant need to consider that she has lost a legal claim. The courts are there to decide if what she has done is illegal or not, they aren’t there to judge the morals or motivations of either party. This is only the latest in a list of CCJs which have been awarded against her (this is the second just this year). You do have to question whether Jack Monroe is the right person to be educating people in poverty about thriftiness and money management. Raking in thousands each month in passive Patreon income and tip jar rattles for everything from media training to website repairs to paying her rent, £10-15k per speaking engagement, dodgy fundraisers and Kickstarters, all while she has active CCJs and flaunting Tiffany earrings and Breitling watches. How does she sleep at night?

Someone suing her for a tenner apparently from money he gave her on Patreon. Even the Daily Mail aren't that interested

She also pretended to have cancer.

She was appealing for an oncologist, and they must have been one hell of a doctor, because Jack was cured in 24 hours!

Nothing she does can be lower than that.

She also said she had ‘multiple miscarriages’ in a relationship that seemed to last less than 6 month.
she literally will say anything for sympathy.

I missed that completely!

CCJs are heard in the county court, there are many many cases a day, and generally claimants and defendants are NOT expected to attend, most of it is done via a series of forms (also online these days) and the court will pass judgement on the basis of these forms.

It is also quite likely that the court staff (not legal professionals, those that answer the phone( might advise someone they didn't need to attend.

Can't you see how obsessive some of you are about her life? You pounce on anything she does waiting to catch her out and are wishing her harm (not wishing her dead as she says but hoping for her downfall).

How many hundred thousand posts are on Tattle now about her where they post everytime she farts? How many Twitter accounts are set up solely to post messages about what a terrible person she is?

Some people, especially the people who have been on Tattle everyday for the past couple of years, need to step back and gain a sense of perspective.

I don’t want her downfall. I just want her to stop taking people off people under the guise of ‘helping poor people’ whilst doing absolutely nothing.

Weird. I've only seen people wanting her to stop the lies and the con refund people, pause patreon, tell the truth.

She could, very easily, step back and write books and live quietly, she chooses to continue this.
She is obviously making a fortune and all the claims about bad mentals is nonsense.

I find it really interesting.

When Jack decided not to proceed with the court case she could have been completely transparent and told people exactly how much was collected and where it was all donated. Then Jack would probably have been congratulated and there may be some rumblings about not refunding.

The lack of transparency keeps the conversation going, it keeps Jack in people’s minds. If Jack had answered the question straight away would Jack be a topic of conversation anymore?

I was a huge Jack supporter for a long time but the constant rattling the tin and never delivering plus the very obvious fabrications meant I gave her a wide berth for a few years.

I’ve had a look at her twitter and a thread on tattle and it’s clear to see she is very mentally unwell and has, unfortunately, been openly scamming people and making up outrageous stories to cover herself.
For her own sake I wish someone would take her aside, take her off social media and get her the help she needs.
I also feel for the people who gave in good faith and have been scammed.

As for Tattle - some of the posters on there need to get help or lives. The vitriol towards a total stranger is neither healthy or normal and goes well beyond the bounds of gossip or silly chatter.

I think a lot of her MH claims are mostly to manipulate everyone.

When it comes to exposes, there was a thorough series by someone called Molly something who I think was an open pen name of Julian Vigo. It was taken down but I imagine is up somewhere online again- at least, I hope so.

Which is very true. I can see the temptation to get into that personal narrative. It’s encouraged and rewarded.

I am no Jack defender but I do believe this was about a relative who does have cancer.

With regards to Jack's health I think she has some kind of personality disorder. Patreon needs closing and her Twitter account shut down. This won't happen as it seems her only way of getting validation which is a bit sad.

As for Tattle, I've seen Jack behave far worse than they do regarding her. They just post her comments and discuss them. She's the one doxing people and setting her flying monkeys free to harass and bully people.

I've seen it. She knew exactly what she was doing posting that photo along with what she was asking. Very odd behaviour.

I know the photo you mean, but it was not posted at the same time as the oncologist tweet. It was posted when she had covid, something about trying to persuade her folks to come round with soup if I remember rightly.

Any criticism about ANYTHING JM does is met with ‘but she does so much good!’/you’re coming for her because shes trans/non-binary/autistic/disabled/has mental health issues/left wing, regardless of who that criticism is from or what that criticism is.

FWIW, I am very left wing, couldn’t give a shit if she’s trans (live and let live tbqhwy lads and lasses and NB pals) and still think she’s a grifting fraudster who needs to get her comeuppance.
