'We'll have Sir Korma and Ange doing that in bucketfuls soon enough though'

'Oh gosh, yes - Angela Rayner was going on about the 'world stage' the other day. Can you imagine Angela Rayner on the 'world stage'?? Don't give up - the polls are edging upwards I think'

'Westminster voting intention:'
'LAB: 42% (-1)'
'CON: 31% (+2)'
'LDEM: 12% (-1)'
'via @ DeltapollUK, 09 - 12 Jun'

From the previous thread but one to repeat. Yes I know the thread isn't about voting intentions and as such is a 'derailment' going by the Bozo thread new rulez but still. Thought we'd all like to see it again 🙏.

We certainly are enjoying seeing that two figure percentage point lead that Labour has.

He didn't break the law. It's not a moot point.

Tell that to the other poster - for a start, I was replying to a post on Boris Johnson and Michael Howard - telling lies about your extramarital affair isn't against the law either. If you want to police the thread, you've got to be even-handed with everyone, not just those posters you disagree with.

Care to share your opinion on then PM Boris Johnson misleading Parliament?

I haven't read the committee's report yet - do you have a link?

Ok, what is your opinion on a PM misleading Parliament?

Clavinova · 13/06/2023 12:01

DuncinToffee
Ok

Ok what? You haven't provided a link to the report.
You will have to be quick - I'm going out soon.

I made a general question just for you

What is your opion on a PM, any PM, misleading Parliament?

Easy enough question, you can think about when you are out if you like.

pointythings · 13/06/2023 12:08

Don't they have mobile data where you live, clav?

I look forward to seeing your reaction to the report when it's released.

Notonthestairs · 13/06/2023 12:09

Credit where it is due. I'm impressed that you are keen to rely upon on the Committee's findings & recommendation.

Please could we stop enabling clav to derail the thread? Durham is irrelevant.

Yes:there's been a lot of that previously

Yes:there's been a lot of that previously

But if we didn't allow the derails, there would be nothing left for them to post about.
I am thinking about starting a Save our Clav campaign.

Rhondaa · 13/06/2023 12:47

Oh thank god. Smelling salts not required after all. ItWasNotAgainstTheRulesSir Beer may well will be dithering and wibbling leading our country very soon with Ange bellowing nonsense from the sidelines. Phew!

DuncinToffee · 13/06/2023 12:52

I thought Clavinova was starting a thread on Keir Starmer in Durham?

Makes a change from please can we ignore Janiie.

You must try to stop controlling what folk post on these chats, you aren't the boss.

A magnum so far 😇

Hoppinggreen · 13/06/2023 12:56

Why are we talking about Starmer here?
Whether he’s a paragon of virtue or a dirty rotten liar does not change the awful and completely unacceptable behaviour of Johnson.
If Starmer sacrificed virgins in Durham high street it wouldn’t mitigate what Johnson has done over and over again

LlynTegid · 13/06/2023 12:56

There is no justice until Boris Johnson faces the criminal charges he should be facing. His inactions or belated actions killed thousands of people who would otherwise be alive today.

jgw1 · 13/06/2023 13:00

DuncinToffee · 13/06/2023 12:53

I would hazard a guess very similar to their opinion on the Prime Minister having a birthday party having made such things illegal.

They don't have one that they are willing to justify.

jgw1 · 13/06/2023 13:01

Rhondaa · 13/06/2023 12:54

Well you live and learn.

Is it too much to expect you to post like an adult and use their names?

Have you managed to address Johnson lying to the House yet?

Exactly, but @Clavinova and @Janiie cant stop themselves. They don't seem to be able to provide an answer to the fact that Johnson misled Parliament though.

mibbelucieachwell · 13/06/2023 13:07

Tbf to Johnson - he was adamant that his incorrect statements to Parliament weren't intentional lies. Surely this incompetence isn't as bad as Starmer's 'string of lies'?

Johnson lied to the House. Deliberately. Is that not serious in your view?
