Not a fan of the artificial grass , I’m actually shocked at that.

Kimchikeffir · 07/06/2023 13:42

Actually I’m hoping that it is very manicured real grass

bonfirebash · 07/06/2023 13:44

It's claustrophobic to me even with the size of it

SoupDragon · 07/06/2023 13:45

Books sorted by colour. Just dreadful.

WhatsThatIHear · 07/06/2023 13:45

I wondered if it was fake grass, it looks a bit like it, I was surprised at that too.

Was there an article you got this from op? Just curious where they’re off to as it’s for rent.

martha4clark · 07/06/2023 13:45

How do you know it's his house?! I like it, apart from the artificial grass....

Unicorn2022 · 07/06/2023 13:45

Wow I am surprised at that decor. The whole house is horrible.

QueenOfThorns · 07/06/2023 13:46

I would be very disturbed by someone who arranged their books by colour, although I can’t quite put my finger on why!

MrsPelligrinoPetrichor · 07/06/2023 13:46

It's awful, what a mish mash and I usually like a house full of bits of pieces.

TheDogsMother · 07/06/2023 13:46

Arrgghhh far too busy and chaotic to me. I'm also hoping very much that this is real grass !

tillytoodles1 · 07/06/2023 13:46

It's so cluttered, I'd never find anything. But I could only afford to rent it for about half an hour anyway, it's just under 1k a day!

I agree!

KevinDeBrioche · 07/06/2023 13:47

@martha4clark theres a drawing of Inca, his lab. The name is on the picture.

NeverThatSerious · 07/06/2023 13:48

Gosh they like ‘stuff’ don’t they?! To be honest, no it’s not to my taste at all but it looks very well loved and I respect people who put such a personal stamp on their home. It looks homely. I kind of like it on that basis.
If that’s artificial grass though, boo hiss.

I know, 26 grand a month 😬
It's a borderline hoarder's house 😳

Hillbilly · 07/06/2023 13:49

@martha4clark it's def his house. I live close by. Used to do my post run stretching on his front wall 🤣
😳😳😳 at the rental cost!

JKR sorts her books by colour! I would be happy with a tiny fraction of her commercial success.

ForTheSakeOfThePenguin · 07/06/2023 13:50

It looks brilliantly crazy, but there is a very telling sign there that makes me think it is all smoke and mirrors.. with that level of clutter in the house, how is it that the books are organised by colour??? Tsk tsk

RosaSkye · 07/06/2023 13:51

It’s definitely his house. I actually love it! But the style would suit a big country house more I think which is what they now have I believe

FuckoffeeBeforeCoffee · 07/06/2023 13:52

I quite like it too.

TokyoSushi · 07/06/2023 13:53

Gosh, I think you'd absolutely love it, or absolutely hate it - I know which camp I'm in!

But why on Earth is it so expensive? It's not particularly special. I know 'it's London' but good grief!

I thought that, it reminds me a little of the homes of a couple of friends (from very well to do families!) I had in my teenage years, very eclectic.
