So much stuff! I wouldn't mind an afternoon having a nosey as I bet there is some interesting stuff amongst the clutter but I couldn't live with it I'd feel like I was being buried alive.

Humpf · 07/06/2023 14:32

I really like a house with some personality even if it isn’t mine. It is nice to see people’s knickknacks. The shady trees are nice and the office is my least favourite. It must be a bugger to dust but I suppose if you’re paying that much to live there you aren’t dusting it yourself.

Did they moved recently?

No clue but apparently they have a country home (according to posters here)

Find Ben so attractive, my guilty crush ☺️ love his accent & sense of adventure... Marina is very lucky, she seems to have a lovely life in the country from her Instagram but do their kids still commute to London or are they boarders?

lol, lookswise he's not my type but he's not the worst, but the accent would be such a passion killer for me. He has such a prissy voice.

BillyBraggisnotmylover · 07/06/2023 14:34

£26000 in rent per month would require an annual income of well over half a million 🤯

HollyBollyBooBoo · 07/06/2023 14:35

It induces a panic attack in me, so claustrophobic!

@Mutabiliss you're bang on, it's very much of a type!!

My thoughts were:

  1. Foglest house ever
  2. AstroTurf WTF
  3. Is that one of those tellies that masquerades as a framed "work of art" in the master bedroom?!
  4. Colour-coded book people are loons
  5. Terrible kitchen, absolutely terrible
  6. Even posh people have Words on Walls...

I also wondered about the whale/telly but from one angle it looks like it may just be a artwork of a whale ??? + the walls don't appear to be wide enough to embed a television into it ?

They may very well just spend an evening looking at the 1 picture.. .

Fake grass can burn paws. He should know better.

North Kensington? Didn't that used to be Earls Court? Renamed to make it more expensive maybe.

No, it’s the other side of the flyover to Notting Hill, Holland Park. It used to be really rough in the 70’s and 80’s , made Ladbroke Grove look like Knightsbridge.

Polew · 07/06/2023 14:38

ShandaLear · 07/06/2023 14:29

Did they make their own furniture out of pallets during lockdown (like everyone else)?

Think they already had it that way randomly

The decor looks very try-hard, not organically grown collection of stuff, but frantic bulk buying in order to portray a certain image.
That’s why even clutter lovers don’t find it cozy.

Yea ,you're right, it's not organic clutter.

loislovesstewie · 07/06/2023 14:40

Bloody hell ! I used to live not far from there years ago, BUT it was the definitely insalubrious area !

MiniCooperLover · 07/06/2023 14:40

It looks a bit like it's trying just a bit too hard to be 'crazy, look at me' ... I hope it'd all get cleared out if it's rented anyway, imagine having to take responsibility for all their stuff. You can see the change in style with the 'new' stuff, like the new bathroom (lovely floor tiles), new extension bit, etc. Yes fake grass is a surprise

TheMurderousGoose · 07/06/2023 14:40

Crazy to think people can expect to make £26K in rent for a house that's in an apparently ropey neighbourhood.

TheMurderousGoose · 07/06/2023 14:40

*£26K per month

SiobhanSharpe · 07/06/2023 14:41

As far as artificial grass goes, I saw a lot worse than that when house hunting last year.
it looks as if it's been vacuumed, at least.😄

Fizbosshoes · 07/06/2023 14:41

I'd be worried if I put anything down I'd never be able to find it again!
But thankfully given the price that's never going to be a problem for me!

Ohfgsjon · 07/06/2023 14:42

It looks like book wallpaper to me.

I’m fairly sure it’s an original Oliver Jeffers. It’s what I’m most jealous of in the whole house!

Wishona · 07/06/2023 14:42

I really, really like it.
Lots to look at and it’s cosy. A bit fairytale esque. A good rainy day house to potter in.

Yes. You've described precisely why I find the decor so off-putting.

That and I hate the two virtually side-by-side fireplaces. The room was once clearly two rooms but the dividing wall has been torn down.

Plus, it's a tiny garden for the asking price.

'North Kensington' -- but just opposite the Scrubs! Ladbroke Grove is still a very, um, uneven area, some bits still very run down.
Why not say Hammersmith?

SofaDoe · 07/06/2023 14:21

I follow his wife on Instagram, from her photos etc it seems like they live in a big house in the countryside? I’m confused!

They live a couple of miles from me in Henley.

Floralys2 · 07/06/2023 14:45

£26k a month for a terraced house, Christ

Rough as old boots. It’s between Hammersmith Hospital, Wormwood Scrubs and the Westway, not where I would choose to live at all.

Earl’s Court is West Kensington not North.
