Yet, here we are discussing it on MN where very few posters - if any - could afford to rent a house for £26,000 a month.

Yes but suggesting they’ve achieved a publicity goal by getting in the sun is quite different.
Rubber necking nosiness, yes.

Potential market, no.

Highandlows · 09/06/2023 10:32

The thing people are so judgmental anyway. I do not go a buy the Sun but is one of the many newspapers and tabloids that come into the news feed. In short these days things work differently. Pretty sure you will see it in other outlets so yes free publicity.

I absolutely love it! I love colour and it looks full of memories. So much better than all the boring grey and white blandness that soany people have, it has character and looks loved.

The whole house is grey & standard london townhouse style (complete with fake grass as many posters have taken offence at) it's purely their 'stuff' that's giving off all the colours/patterns/personality ?

& I dont get how their going to remove it all (if the new tannants are paying £26k a month & have their own belongings without leaving the picture holes/decorations ??

It's all a bit odd for a rental really

& yes! This thread has been picked up by the dailymail/sun 🤔 but no mention of any of the posters just 'online reviews/souces/quotes'

This one is soulless to me. Bland . Different strokes for different folks.

It's the sort of 'colour pops' aesthetic very love it or you don't

I like that they’ve thought fuck it and shown their life history and the things they’ve collected. Better than silver or greige.

but holy shit I knew London was bad but I did not think it was this bad. Fuck me. No wonder people on our estate are snapping up the 5 beds from London. They probably managed to sell and buy outright here!

I have about a thousand cookbooks sorted by colour, they take up a 4m by 7m wall of the living room and look lovely. Occasionally I have to google the cover of the one I'm looking for to remember what colour the spine is, but not often. Other books in less prominent places in the house are sorted by category and then alphabetically. Am I a psychopath or not I wonder?

Are you Nigella or Jack Monroe?

MsRinky · 09/06/2023 19:39

@RunAwayTurnAwayRunAwayTurnAway I can only aspire to being Nigella, but am appalled that anyone could ever compare me to JM! But rest assured, I financed my book addiction with money I earned through honest toil rather than grifting and begging.
