@TheWomanTheyCallJayne we thought that too! It looked enormous. Dp and I saw the original Star Spangled Banner in Washington a few weeks ago and it is HUGE.

PolkaDotMankini · 06/05/2023 13:39

I loved the outfits. Kate 😍Penny looked fab too. Camilla's companions look just like her. I couldn't tell which one was her sister.

Sad to report that Claire Balding has been given outdated information. About the national park that the Prince and Princess of Wales visited in the week.

It's Bannau Brycheiniog.

Yes, that.
How do you actually pronounce that?
Sorry, foreigner living in Wales, still trying to get my ll somehow similar to the actual deep jjjjj sound

Watching this I'm thinking what a huge shame it is that Harry's children are not there to really experience this. Even though they're young, I'm sure it would have made an impression. They've missed out on something of huge family importance. One wonders what their titles will really mean to them when it's so removed from context and experience.

Yeah, but this is the situation as is.

Hopefully they can rebuild some family relationships in the future.

Justneedsomesleepnow · 06/05/2023 13:40

My mistake - it was the cenotaph

Casuaala · 06/05/2023 13:41

I wonder what the heralds do when they're not on parade.

Can’t we just say ‘formerly known as…’

MushMonster · 06/05/2023 13:42

I wish they had stopped for a few seconds by the Cenotaph.

They are far too young!

Inyournewdress · 06/05/2023 13:43

I fell asleep and missed the being crowned bit 😂😂

I quite enjoyed it.

Bet APB never thought that one day he'd be Westminster Abbey watching his ex wife be crowned Queen!

I wondered if he’d be there.

Bouledeneige · 06/05/2023 13:45

On twitter there's a post showing a screen shot of tracker of planes over the North Sea.

MustardGreenAndPlum · 06/05/2023 13:45

I’m cold watching everyone outside in the rain with their portamacs on.

HamptonCaught · 06/05/2023 13:46

Anyone else wish it was Princess Anne getting crowned?

LoopyGremlin · 06/05/2023 13:46

How great is Princess Anne standing in the gardens amongst all the military.

Rockybooboo · 06/05/2023 13:47

SoupDragon · 06/05/2023 13:42

Lillibet is not even two. My two year old niece was overwhelmed at my wedding and cried all the way through. They can go to their Uncle's coronation.

watcherintherye · 06/05/2023 13:47

Anne looked positively jolly amongst all the troops on the back lawn! I think she relishes the military aspects of her role.

WeWereInParis · 06/05/2023 13:47

Ooh I will be able to see it from my house then

exLtEveDallas · 06/05/2023 13:48

Anne would have made a bloody good soldier. I love the way she is always ‘on parade’ proper.

Bouledeneige · 06/05/2023 13:49

Cloud is low over London

Place marking
I hope they can do the fly past

The cloud cover here is low but I do hope they can do it, they often fly over here when they're doing fly pasts, frightened the daylights out of me the first time I saw it, Lancasters, Spitfires etc going over my house!

DysonSpheres · 06/05/2023 13:49

SoupDragon · 06/05/2023 13:42

Maybe Lillibet, I'll grant, but I disagree that Archie wouldn't have remembered a fair bit. He's 4. This is an historical family moment and all his cousins are part of it and he's not.

But he has a title. Makes no sense really, but the future will tell.

I think she likes being accepted as one of them.
