Just listening to a Spotify playlist and Time After Time came on... That line

It just always gives me a little well of emotion. My son needs me so much, I think it's just that feeling of need to be there.

There are so many lyrics that get me no matter how many times I hear them.... What are yours?

It was playing on the radio while I sat with my darling mum when she was on end of life care. The tears were streaming down.

Can’t listen to this without welling up thinking of my v elderly mum singing it in hospital to keep her spirits up when she was in awful pain for days after an accident waiting to have her leg amputated.

We played it at my dad’s funeral, it’s a happy upbeat song and I still love listening to it, but that one lyric does just punch me in the gut when I hear it. It really does go by so fast.

Me too. She was my little girl and now she's moved out and it'll never be the same again. I miss that little girl, although I love the young woman she's grown up to be.

The other one is Liam Frost and the slowdown family, if tonight we could only sleep.. the line, "she said if I fall sleep before you will you leave me be, I can't handle waiting, anticipating, I pray that I fall deep.." makes me cry. I have NO idea what this song is supposed to be about but it brings me back to a horrible time with my MH and wanting to not be here anymore. It makes me cry now both because it reminds me of how low I was, but also how glad I am to still be here.
