"All women are bisexual"

Why do many men believe this? Because even on the internet I've seen articles which prove that we are all bisexual or lesbian but never straight. If sexuality was a choice then I dont think many of us would be picking men lol

OP posts:

@SandraCumin Are you a lesbian trapped in a straight marriage? Seems like you're projecting on here ..

...perhaps my only giveaways are my love for dungarees and septum piercing (jk)

I now have a mental image of you as Elly May Clampett!

BeachBlondey · 17/02/2023 15:12

Uugh, I briefly dated a man who believed this. I think it was because of Porn, tbh. No matter how many times I told him I could never be attracted to a woman, he just wouldn't believe it, and was quite smug with it as well. It's quite baffling that some men even think like this.

Mind you, I've seen drunk straight women put on a "show" in nightclubs, of being touchy feely with a friend, to try to arouse men. It's all false, but I guess some guys seem to fall for it.

I've never really understood, why straight men get turned on by watching 2 women together? Straight women would not get turned on by watching 2 men make out! Weird.

Yeah you do sound incredibly chilled out and a right laugh to be fair.

Yes, what woman could possibly resist the allure of being needed for an oil change and being an occasional brood mare?

lazarusb · 17/02/2023 15:23

There was a male parent at my children's primary school who used to wear a t-shirt that said 'Cover me in chocolate and throw me to the lesbians'. He didn't believe that some women were actually only attracted to women and lesbians wouldn't have given him a second look. Idiot.

SinnerBoy · 17/02/2023 15:25

What an embarrassment!

Yuck. Imagine being married to someone so immature.

lazarusb · 17/02/2023 15:43

I know. Grim and stupid.

Cam22 · 17/02/2023 16:05

I’ve never been attracted to women in that way. I can say I admire them or they are beautiful though - and I don’t think men can say that about other men. At least my husband recoils at the very idea. Lol

That’s quite funny, really. Lol

Cam22 · 17/02/2023 16:08

Excuse a surfeit of lols.

HorribleNecktie · 17/02/2023 16:12

In my experience the men who say such things tend to be pornsick cumbrains who are jonesing for a 3 some.

BettyUnderswoob · 17/02/2023 16:35

What a ridiculous thing to believe. I am not even remotely sexually attracted to women.
But not only are some women purely heterosexual, or purely lesbian; some are asexual, too.
I agree that the bisexual thing is just some man's wet dream.

Alconleigh · 17/02/2023 17:09

I'd bloody love to be a lesbian. I'd far rather have relationships with women. Sadly, I find the female form entirely unarousing.

Luckily that is something you can change, it takes time to break the conditioning but it can be done. I have a 12 step programme by Sabrina Herschel that is supposed to break my bondage to the patriarchy in 6 months.

Oh so not just biphobic you also believe a poster can change their sexuality

There is not 12 step programme to make you a lesbian. Your posts certainly come across as if you are a lesbian who is only just realising that but you need to understand that's specific to your experience and just because you are a woman who has been in relationships with men and now realises she prefers women, doesnt make that every woman's experience.

Ive not got the attention span for 6 months

dh will be so relieved

monsteramunch · 17/02/2023 17:42

Rather than paying for a 12 step programme @SandraCumin it sounds like it would be more beneficial for you to have some one on one counselling to work through the sexuality crisis you're having at the moment.

You can't change your sexuality. That isn't a thing. You can simply come to terms with your sexuality, whether it's straight, gay or bi. Life is lighter when you do.

Not sure why I'm bothering to try to extend much empathy after you've insulted a number of us and our life choices / who we've fallen in love with on this thread but you sound desperately unhappy and I don't want anyone to feel that way 🤷🏻‍♀️

Rainbowshit · 17/02/2023 17:43

maddy68 · 16/02/2023 23:48

All women find other people attractive as do men

Noone benefits from a label and who cares

No sorry. I am just not sexually attracted to women. At all.

I've experimented with females when I was younger but it's not what turns me on. And I don't think experimenting like that makes me in any way bi before anyone says that.

I can look at a woman and think she's beautiful but just not feel anything sexually.

ivfbabymomma1 · 17/02/2023 17:57

I'm happily married to a man. (I'm a women) but if I ever became single for whatever reason I would explore both men & women for sure.

ThisWOMANWontWheesht · 17/02/2023 17:57

I'm beginning to think @SandraCumin is a troll. Now (s)he's advocating conversion therapy, FGS!
Banned in much of the world it has been shown to be at best ineffective; at worst torture.
You can't change your sexuality.

Step away from the bullshit "feminist intellectuals" you read, Sandra and do a little investigation in the real world.

RunRunRunSomeMore · 17/02/2023 18:05

Lots of people have tried to change people's sexuality from gay to straight and failed, from which we conclude that "you can't change your sexuality".

But AFAIK, no-one's ever actually TRIED to deliberately change a sexuality from straight to gay. So how do we know it's not possible? 😁

ThisWOMANWontWheesht · 17/02/2023 18:12

I'm sure it must have been tried somewhere, @RunRunRunSomeMore !

Alconleigh · 17/02/2023 19:49

I'm fairly confident there's a no 12 step programme in the universe that could make me like minge @SandraCumin 😀

RufustheFloralmissingreindeer · 17/02/2023 19:50
