"All women are bisexual"

Louise4939 · 16/02/2023 23:41

Why do many men believe this? Because even on the internet I've seen articles which prove that we are all bisexual or lesbian but never straight. If sexuality was a choice then I dont think many of us would be picking men lol

Well actually, historically women were strictly inclined towards lesbianism and only engaged in sex with men to produce offspring. It’s only since the advent of colonialism that patriarchal views on sex brainwashed women across the world into believing that we are attracted to men.

They don’t teach that in the history books but I’ve been following a lot of prominent feminist intellectuals who have opened my eyes in regards to how much the patriarchy has warped my sexuality and sense of self.

😂 😂🤣
Oh

Wow

How ridiculous!
Where and when were women more inclined towards lesbianism, and how could this possibly be the case unless these women had some sort of psychological or physical difference for this to happen?

Sexual attraction is a biological instinct to ensure the furthering of the species; so whilst it's fine, good and normal that some people are gay or bi, most will be straight.

RunRunRunSomeMore · 17/02/2023 09:42

I'm pretty sure there's strong evidence that bisexuality is more common among women than men (whereas homosexuality is more common among men).

I've never met a man (or woman) who extrapolates from that that ALL women are bisexual, but anyone who does is obviously wrong.

IDontWantToBeAPie · 17/02/2023 09:45

Idk I can't refute it because I am 😂

IDontWantToBeAPie · 17/02/2023 09:49

But imo they think it because women are more likely/comfortable saying other women are beautiful, stunning, look hot, have an amazing bum etc. because men are so afraid of looking gay that they don't say those things.

In reality many women just can appreciate beauty and express it without wanting to have sex with the person.

RunRunRunSomeMore · 17/02/2023 09:51

Not necessarily. It would be possible for that instinct to exist entirely among men, and to work in conjunction with rape, patriarchal socialisation etc. to ensure the furthering of the species.

I'm not saying this is the case; just that you're making the mistake people often make when talking about evolution, of starting with the evolutionary explanation you want and then finding an interpretation of things that justifies it. The problem with this is that if you start with a different explanation, you can often make things justify that just as well.

BS. I don't believe this for a second.

Have you never looked at another woman and thought she was pretty? Of course you have. Do you not love your girl friends? What attracted you to them?

Everyone is somewhere along that line to varying degrees I didn't say sexuality doesn't exist

Yes, in the same way that I would look at a particularly attractive child or baby. I am not even a little bit sexually attracted to women just because I acknowledge their attractiveness. Beauty isn't just about sex. It's sad if you think it is.

I don't actually love my female friends either. I like them very much and find them good company, but I wouldn't say I loved them and even if I did, it's a different kind of love to the one you are talking about.

There are different sorts of love and only one is about wanting someone sexually. I think you need to read more about those and expand your thinking. Do you not have children that you love?

Tekkentime · 17/02/2023 10:04

No, absolutely not. Where did he get that idea from?

SandraCumin · 17/02/2023 10:29

Clearly the patriarchal conditioning is strong amongst our sisters here, how disappointing.

Just ask yourselves one question, why is it that you think women are more attractive than men as a whole yet somehow end up in sexual relationships with only men? It is a well documented fact now that the British Empire spread the toxic idea of compulsive heterosexuality around the globe in order to control us and now women all over are somehow convinced that we have always been attracted to men when that was not the case at all.

fdgdfgdfgdfg · 17/02/2023 10:30

Essentially, porn.

If you watch any porn with 3 or more people, the women are far more likely to interact with each other, than men are. Any threesome where the men touch each other gets shuffled off into the gay section.

I do think women in general are more open to it. I'm a man who's kissed a few blokes but not done anything further with them. Theres the odd bloke I think "Yeah I would" about but that's as far as it goes, I'm very much at the straight end of bi-curious. I'm very much in the minority among other men though. Most straight blokes experience actual revulsion at the thought of kissing another bloke.

On the other hand, I can think of so many straight female friends who when young and drunk kissed another girl to get a rise out of the men, or on a dare, or just to try it.

There's less of a taboo around it, and I don't know if that's due to socialisation, something more ingrained, or just the fact that men are generally just a bit smelly and gross, and so you've got to be really attracted to men before you'll want to do anything sexual with them.

SandraCumin · 17/02/2023 10:32

Men are literally disgusting. They smell, they are hideously hairy in all the wrong places and their genitals are absolutely odious to the senses. Ask yourself if it is natural for us to be attracted to such poor specimens because it is not. You have been conditioned into wanting it.

xogossipgirlxo · 17/02/2023 10:33

I could never be with woman.

purpledalmation · 17/02/2023 10:40

Are you serious?

Sparklesockz · 17/02/2023 07:31

No way. I can find women pretty but the idea of being intimate with them ? Absolutely not ! Never crossed my mind and the idea makes me feel a bit yuck (no disrespect to lesbians who probably feel the same towards men)!

Absolutely! I am a lesbian and I look at straight women and cannot for the life of me understand their attraction to men.

I do think men's insistence that women are more likely to be bi might spring from porn-fuelled fantasy. I think women are less homophobic, so those interested in same-sex experimentation can talk about it with less shame. men who have same sex attraction still feel a lot of shame around it, so either deny or hide it.

Rubbish!

I am attracted to men... only men and no one I know thinks all women are bi

You're indulging in wishful thinking. I am as lesbian as the next lesbian but I am also quite comfortable with the idea that most humans are heterosexual. Because they are mammals.

I do believe comp het demonises same sex attraction, but I don't believe if it didn't exist all women would head to Lesbos.

I think someone needs to study world history - and dare I say it, outwith the confines of the British Empire! 🤣

Hardly wishful thinking, I’m married to a man myself. I was conditioned just like the rest of society into thinking that I would be sexually satisfied by being with a man. It is only because I did my research that I discovered compulsive heterosexuality and compulsive monogamy and I don’t want younger women coming into their own to fall for the same brainwashing that we all did.

As the foremost feminist website on the internet it falls on all of us to fight the patriarchy and everything it has done to stop us from being who we were really meant to be, and yes, that includes our sapphic attractions.

Louise4939 · 16/02/2023 23:56

@maddy68 but then if labels dont matter then why do we still have LGBT+ parades? Or male/female toilets?

Labels shouldn't matter. I couldn't give a single shit about someone's sexuality unless I fancy them - and then if I know they're not interested (for whatever reason) then I know my lust us unrequited.

But you must be aware there is masses of history of persecution of people who don't fit the heteronormative 'ideals', and as society has caught up about these they as a community have delivered Pride?

And male/female toilets don't have anything to do with sexuality Confused man had their own toilets and women had to actively CAMPAIGN to have their own so they could leave the house. They are kept separate so men don't have another hidden area to attack women.

JoonT · 17/02/2023 11:17

ConfusedNT · 16/02/2023 23:58

I guess if you are the kind of man who can only see women in terms of whether you want to have sex with them or not, it must be hard to understand that other people can see women as human people, and not just walking talking sex toys

So true. I'm not bisexual, but I wish I was. Truth is, a lot of men (probably the majority) don't like women. They desire them, and they need them, but they don't like them. I often feel men just want women to shut up. Men don't like talking for the sake of it. And deep down, they long for the days when men called the shots, and women were pretty much second class. Why wouldn't they? I've known plenty of men who claim to be feminists. In reality, they just want sex, and they know that they need to say the right things, and behave in the right way, to get a woman into bed. I swear that's the reason so many western men have a thing about asian girls. They like idea of a docile, obedient Thai or Japanese girl, who keeps quiet, treats them like a king, does what they say, etc. (I'm sure many Thai Japanese women are not like that, but that's the fantasy.)

Didn't Freud believe we're all bisexual? I suppose it's possible that sexuality is socially conditioned. Maybe, when homosexuality really is fully accepted, and two men feel comfortable kissing and holding hands in public, etc, things will begin to shift, and more men and women will be open to homosexual relationships. I'm sure it would make society happier, gentler and kinder.
