"All women are bisexual"

Why do many men believe this? Because even on the internet I've seen articles which prove that we are all bisexual or lesbian but never straight. If sexuality was a choice then I dont think many of us would be picking men lol

OP posts:

@SandraCumin

Does your husband know you find his body repulsive and that you believe you only have a relationship with him due to brainwashing?

I would be pretty gutted if my partner felt that way about our relationship and would end the relationship so they had the opportunity to explore their sexuality.

Surely you aren't straight if you a woman who finds men physically repulsive, finds women attractive and believe that you were 'really meant to be' with women.

So wouldn't it be sensible to just acknowledge that you individually are bisexual (or to be honest, gay if you really feel the way you say you do about men) rather than saying that everyone else is secretly a lesbian / bisexual?

Men are literally disgusting. They smell, they are hideously hairy in all the wrong places and their genitals are absolutely odious to the senses. Ask yourself if it is natural for us to be attracted to such poor specimens because it is not. You have been conditioned into wanting it.

I've read it all now 😂.

I'm sorry but if I had to choose between a naked Keanu Reeves and a naked Sandra Bullock I know who I'd be dragging up the stairs. Bloody Keanu!

😂Funniest thing I've read this week.

I am female and unfortunately hairy in all the wrong places.

Basic evolution explains why we have that attraction to those "literally disgusting" men: it's critical to the survival of our species.

Ps: look up the meaning of literal. It doesn't mean what you think it means.

Back to the OP:
I thoroughly appreciate a beautiful woman, but the thought of having sex with a woman repulses me, so I think I can safely conclude I am not remotely bi.

PartridgeInAChair · 17/02/2023 11:31

I definitely wouldn't want to do oral on a woman.

RealMcKoy · 17/02/2023 11:39

Bollocks! This is the same type of anti POC woman nonsesne that corporate Queer Theory Politricks has thrown up pertaining to Black people not knowing what women were until Massa turned up!

And to prove how "White Saviour" your point of view is, colonialism occurred way before European colonialism of Africa and Asia and my spidey sense is telling me that European Colonialism is the colonialsim that you are referring to when spouting your "Black women are men/Black women are all lesbians" fuckry.

Please go and unpick your progressive white male identified, imperialistic,"white man's burden" anti Black/POC, anti female sexual agency, misogynistic, homophobic ( sexuality is a choice), racist point of view and please never bring it back to Mumsnet thinking that you are doing the Lord's work again!

Funny how I know that you are not Black, aint it?

ChChChChangeName · 17/02/2023 11:44

Essentially, porn.

Yes, and fantasy, and a failure to distinguish between these things and actual women. The male gaze, basically.

This is beyond ridiculous. My first heterosexual feelings I was aware of were when I was about 5. I had a strong crush on my brother's friend. Then other boys, then pop stars. No one told me I should. It was nothing to do with finding genitals attractive or desirous; it was nothing to do with genitals at all.

Saying males are 'disgusting' and 'poor specimens' is sexism, pure and simple. You talk of brainwashing; the only brainwashing that has been done is on you by those so called "feminist intellectuals"

Funnily enough, the notion that body hair is disgusting is a pretty anti-feminist position, and usually used against women. In our natural state, we have hair on our genitals, too.

ThisWOMANWontWheesht · 17/02/2023 11:51

that includes our sapphic attractions

I have literally none of those.

Cassie9032 · 17/02/2023 12:19

SandraCumin · 17/02/2023 08:12

Well actually, historically women were strictly inclined towards lesbianism and only engaged in sex with men to produce offspring. It’s only since the advent of colonialism that patriarchal views on sex brainwashed women across the world into believing that we are attracted to men.

They don’t teach that in the history books but I’ve been following a lot of prominent feminist intellectuals who have opened my eyes in regards to how much the patriarchy has warped my sexuality and sense of self.

Interesting!!🤔

I'd go for Sandra any day!!

Tessisme · 17/02/2023 12:37

Utterly ridiculous sweeping statement. Slightly suspicious tbh - you know, with some TRA's accusing lesbians of transphobia because they don't want to have sex with anyone who has a penis. If all women were bisexual - problem solved. But they're not, so ...

Good, I'm not sharing Keanu!

Annoyingwurringnoise · 17/02/2023 13:02

I suspect it’s because

  1. They can fantasise to themselves that they might get a threesome one day
  2. 2. That lesbians aren’t really lesbian and actually are attracted to men really but just won’t admit it/haven’t experienced the right (their) penis yet etc, because you know men just don’t like the thought of women not wanting to have sex with them.
sorry men, 2 is just not the case, and going by what pretty much every single straight female has ever told me, 1 is also bullshit because given the choice, they wouldn’t choose men and their disappointing man sex.

Christ alive @SandraCumin there's a difference between calling out heteronormativity in society and declaring that all mean are disgusting and that any woman who dates a man has been brainwashed. Get a grip.

To answer the OP, sexuality is definitely a spectrum but like any spectrum, people can be at the very ends. Of course all women aren't bisexual, and tbh it's not helpful to actual bisexual women to perpetuate that idea.

PermanentTemporary · 17/02/2023 13:18

I do think more people are bisexual than fully realise it. I had no idea that some women are genuinely repulsed by the idea of sex with other women, because I thought I was 100% straight and I can enjoy sex with women and be attracted to them.

But I also physically worship men, I'm very susceptible to male bodies which I just find delicious in every way. My attraction to women is sexual but nothing like as intense.

Im keener on the idea of a scale of sexuality than categories as a result. I definitely think compulsory heterosexuality is a thing.

What gave you that idea? Lol

BubziOwl · 17/02/2023 13:20

I'm definitely not bisexual, and I find it odd that some people are so invested in insisting we all must be.

I wish I were into women. Not because I find men or indeed their penises "odious to the senses", but because I am statistically far more likely to be hurt or abused by a man than a woman.

I was traumatised by men. If I could have met my sexual and romantic needs with a woman rather than take the risk being vulnerable with a man again, trust me, I would have!

There's surely no more 'reason' for them to be attracted to women other than to reproduce

They orgasm during piv sex 99% of the time.

They also use sex/rape to control and abuse women.

They get power and status from fucking women.

Most women don't realise how much most men hate them.

That's interesting @PermanentTemporary ... if you're attracted to women and can enjoy sex with them, why did you think you were 100% straight, rather than an 80/20 sort of thing? Not a criticism, just find it a little puzzling.
