Be honest: does this dress look like a towel?

I bought a dress online that I had been thinking about for months. It will arrive in a couple of days. It was very expensive.

However, I showed it to my friends and everyone says that it looks like a towel Shock

Be honest: is it awful? Does it look like a towel to you?

I've got a wearable towel that I bought on Amazon because I like to wander around in my towel and dry in my own time post shower. It looks basically exactly the same as this dress but blue. It's also my go-to poolside cover up on hols.

It also only cost £15. And it came with a hair turban.

Sorry OP but it's not worth what you paid for it, and it does look like a towel. Quite a nice towel but still What were you planning on wearing it for?

It looks like one of those microfibre towels you buy to wrap your hair in after a shower to make it dry quicker
this ^ was my first thought as well, sorry. I don’t think it would work as a beach dress or any sort of day holiday dress. It will look just like a tightly wrapped around towel on the beach.

Really sorry but yes, it looks like something you’d wrap around you when you get out of the shower !! Can you send it back if it’s not substantially better than it looks in the photos ?

First look I was going to say it's nice,simple but nice.Close up it's the same material as the awful Terry bedding my mum put on our beds in the 80s.

It doesn't look like a towel to me, but it does look like something that would probably sit in the wardrobe unworn. It looks like a fleecy type fabric but the cut is like a summer dress so I'm not sure when it would be worn.

I don't think it's bad but only if you're 18, with a body like a twig. It's very short and tight for anyone over 25.

Is it a beach dress? I'm so sorry- it looks like a chamois cloth or a hot water bottle cover- but maybe it doesn't when it's on!! And also, even if it does- if you love it, then wear it!!
