Be honest: does this dress look like a towel?

I bought a dress online that I had been thinking about for months. It will arrive in a couple of days. It was very expensive.

However, I showed it to my friends and everyone says that it looks like a towel Shock

Be honest: is it awful? Does it look like a towel to you?

It's a lovely colour. If I had good legs I'd wear it, even if the material was towel-ish. Sod 'em. If you like it, wear it.

The colour and texture are not to my taste - however their website does have an 'explorative textures' section, so you're potentially setting the trends, OP!

It looks like a towel in both fabric and style. Doesn't mean you shouldn't wear it though, if you like it. An island holiday sounds like just the place to show off your Towel Dress.

Of more concern is that its being strapless makes the tits look droopy unless a very good strapless bra is worn, which two of the one models are not doing.

It looks lovely from a distance but on closer inspection the fabric does have a bit of a terry towelling vibe going on. Love the colour though.

Such a shame it's on-line only and so expensive because I'd love to see another thread like the one featuring that monstrous M&S dress with an assortment of different MN'ers posting selfies of themselves in the changing room. This would be an epic dress for that kind of thread Grin

It looks like one of those Hunza G swimsuits. Crinkley synthetic material.

It doesn't look expensive.
