This awful winter virus

Anyone else suffering?

My immediate family, half my wider family and loads of friends seem to have the exact same evil virus.

Fatigue, congestion, headache, insomnia (partly because can't breath through nose), hunger evolving to a runny nose, sore throat and cough.

Honestly it's worse than covid and doesn't seem to go. OK it's only been 5 days but it feels much longer as I've been awake so much.

Pretty sure it's the same virus for my relatives, even though they live 40, 60 and 150 miles away.

I'm also reasonably sure my winter colds have not usually been this bad, though to be fair I can't remember that well as it was pre covid.

I'm better after 16 days! It's a Christmas miracle 🤣🤣🤣

I literally ache all over like flu. Cough that won't budge, snotty nose and freezing cold just cannot her warm. Horrible !!

Anyone else had a rash with this?

My two DC have had this for a few weeks. It turned into a chest infection for DS1 7 who had to have antibiotics but he's still producing bright green snot and a chesty cough. Tonight DS2 is coughing loads too. It's sitting on my chest as well. 3 weeks. We are sick of coughing! The gunk is endless.

It was hideous for about 9 days - finally went.

After feeling a little better for a few days I got tonsilitis and have no energy. Took a covid test about 4 days ago (negative) took one again today - negative in the test window but an hour later a faint positive. Think I've just had it am still recovering from it.

Not sure if it was covid originally or bad virus followed by covid. The original one I was swearing was worse than covid!

I've got asthma and have had this for a week.
Gunk at the back of the throat
Sore throat and ears
Losing voice
Heart palpatations
Sickness
Headache
Chesty cough
Coughing up green mucus with some blood once
Doc says now chest infection
Kids have been fighting some form of it for 5 weeks
We are pretty worn down by it.
