What's for dinner tonight?

Love these threads for getting dinner ideas. I'll start. We're having chinese chicken fried rice, using some of the whole chicken we roasted this morning.

What are you having?

Sausage, broccoli and fennel seed pasta here.

I'm doing slow cooked diced beef in the slow cooker with gravy, vegetables and mash.

Cola chicken with rice and veg

We've just moved house so mealtimes are still a bit haphazard here, plus have a massive vegbox stash to use up so looking like veg curry!
@IHeartGeneHunt I'm intrigued by the favourite soup thread, do you possibly have a link?

Chinese takeaway tonight once DD gets back from her club. I can't wait, I haven't had Chinese food for ages. I still don't know what I'm going to choose though as I want one of everything looking at the menu.

Sausage and Mash tonight but a pp.sausage beans and chips sound nicer!

Pasta and meatballs here tonight

Japanese braised pork belly, rice and veg.

Sausage tray bake with apple, leek, potato, pepper and carrot, thyme, fennel and garlic.

well in the end this is exactly what we had. No other sides either. I currently have a very subdued sense of taste and no sense of smell thanks to covid and so I loaded the cauliflower cheese with extra mustard; nutmeg and stilton. Dh said it was the best ever. I couldn't quite taste it but will take his word for it!

Decided on a mixed box from the takeaway. Chicken balls, spring rolls, wontons and with a curry sauce to dip them in. It was the easiest way to get a mix of stuff from the menu as I couldn't decide.

Similar here but with ribs and prawn toast and I have had a pain in my stomach ever since for some reason. We ate at 7 and I still feel ill.

Tomorrow night is beef patties which DP has made earlier rolled in carmelised crisy onions and he marinaded them in a pepper sauce. Will serve with baby potatoes and whatever veg is in the fridge.

Braised beef, potato dauphinois and red cabbage, because of the weather.

All from the freezer so zero effort.

Pork chops, mash, greens, broccoli, apple sauce and gravy.

Tonight we are having campfire stew with mash. That's if I get off my arse and get it prepped and in the slow cooker.

Lazy takeaway tonight as DH is working. DD(13) is mega excited about I'm a celeb starting so has requested pizza. I think I will get tandoori chicken. 🥰

M - basque chicken
T - chicken and leek pie, mash, veg
W - Mexican rice, chorizo, avocado, fried egg
T - quiche, baked potato, salad
F - veggie burgers, chips, salad
S - pizza takeaway
S - chicken satay and rice

Quite a lazy week with a shop bought pie and a quiche, plus pizza but November etc.

Last night was sweet and sour chicken as the Chinese takeaway had also sent us a large tub of sweet and sour sauce that we didn't use. So I warmed it up and just added a few more things to make it go further.

I have leftover rice from last night in the fridge so I'm thinking of doing a king prawn fried rice for me tonight and fish fingers and potato waffles for DC. I need to see what veg we have in to add to it, I fancy broccoli with mine but DC won't eat that so it'll probably be carrots or sweetcorn for them.

Chicken fajitas & nachos for me & DH, probably chicken nuggets, chips & veg/beans for the kids (they dont like spicy food).

Something quick and easy to keep in with our lazy day.
