I’m watching it on my own (with two dogs) and it’s been a bit lonely without anyone to gossip/gasp with, so being part of this thread has been grand. I don't think there is tons of people there as you see so much more on TV. And it's hard work being there in the centre of town with all the crowds (I was up there at the weekend).

It always amazes me that the horses keep so composed and calm when they have so much going on around them, including guns and bells going off sporadically. Of course, I appreciate they are trained and desensitised to the max, but even so.

This is beautiful. Centuries of finely honed tradition and ceremony immaculately executed.

I can see loads too. I’m sure numbers will be restricted to what is safe, they’re not just going to allow people to cram in. Latecomers will just have to find somewhere else to stand.
