I’m getting fed up with all the posts saying we need to show respect blah blah blah.

Well, I don’t care. I won’t be watching the funeral either.

I’ve seen so many memes shared that have made me laugh, but I won’t share them here cos I reckon the thread will get deleted.

So if you aren’t a royalist, come and talk about anything and everything. Share a funny meme. Or something sweet

Well just when I thought I'd read it all on here there is a thread where the OP is asking if it's ok to put a wash on tomorrow as long as it is only black items, as she doesn't want to appear "offensive to others". I mean, has it really come to this?
FWIW I'm putting a wash on tomorrow and (clean) knickers to anybody that judges me for it.

I haven't seen that, but surely it's not a serious post? As surely people are not that crazy to think they shouldn't do washing tomorrow?

After all there will be a funeral everyday for someone - when do we do washing??

I think that one is a parody. But it's very difficult to tell because it's hard to tell comedy from tragedy at the moment. I mean queuing for 30+ hours to walk past a box is pretty mind-blowing.

I expect Coronation will be in the next tax/financial year as I don't think it would go down well to have 2 major events funded in one year. I wonder how much the royal allowance will go up by to fund all this..

I'm a royalist and I'll read if I like. The idea of 'grieving for someone you've never met' is not the point. She's our former head of state. If Joe Biden died in office the same thing would happen in the USA. Why are 500 heads of state coming to London?

I wonder if they would have the Coronation scaled down big time? Only essential people there by whatever historic nonsense etc. protocol insists upon.

Only immediate family, no guests, dignitaries, celebrities, ambassadors, other royals and whoever else warms their arses on the Abbey pews.

We can wish.. but I don't think the Coronation will be the "event" it once was anymore. A funeral is essential, a Coronation that publicly demonstrates the feudal might of the King over his subjects is not.

It will be some huge ridiculous extravaganza while loads of us can't pay the bills. 🙄 Fun times!

My Internet has been on and off all day ( thank-you virgin media 🙄)
It affected tv too I was so desperate I nearly bought a news paper untill I realised it would all be about the Queen ,she's still dead apparently.

I feel sorry for those poor folks taking their dead relatives in urns to the queue though. They must be unsound. It’s odd behaviour.

My son played his postponed match from last week. Association said there should be a minutes silence before the match. Fair enough, as expected it.

However referee forgot and no one noticed until almost half time 😂.

We were not struck by lightning and the world kept turning.
