That’s Queen consort, of course, but that idea is going to take a lot of getting used to.

The consorts of George V and George VI were Queens. I think when Charles and Camilla got married there was such intense negative feelings towards her it was decided she would never be a Queen only Duchess of Cornwall. I think Queen Consort is fitting.

She is his wife. She is the Queen consort. Only those who are tiny of mind will give it a second thought.

I think she will, eventually, be called 'the Queen'. When you see old news footage of King George VI and the Queen mum- who was Queen Consort- she was referred to as 'the Queen' not 'The Queen Consort' (it's a bit of a mouthful).

Probably an unpopular opinion, but I think Charles will be a very good king and Camilla an excellent queen consort.
