Iit seems like there's a contrast drip drip of scandals designed to keep the PM & tories in the headlines & turn more people against them. The tories can't seem to help themselves, just when they think one scandal has died down then another one pops up.

guinnessguzzler · 02/07/2022 06:59

This is what happens when you have a lying bag of lies for a leader.

TokyoSushi · 02/07/2022 07:17

Checking in. I think it's pretty certain that Pincher will have to go, he seems to have a horrible reputation. Then there'll be another by election, which the tories will lose, and the circus will go on.

I do wonder what'll be the outcome of Starmer and the potential Covid fine though...

Piggywaspushed · 02/07/2022 07:20

Thank you for the new thread.

This'll still be going in 2030 if the PM has his way...

Notonthestairs · 02/07/2022 07:22

Thanks InMySpareTime. Brew

I meant to add Happy Wedding Day to Rousette's DD!
I love a wedding!

It depends whether he decides to try and cling on I suppose.

itsgettingweird · 02/07/2022 07:42

Thanks for new thread.

Happy wedding day for MOTB rousette. Hooe everyone has a good day and your other DD can join in somehow.

I'm really interested in Keirs fine outcome. Either
A) Johnson didn't so Durham won't feel they can
B) Cummings didn't so Durham won't feel they can
Or

C) sue to criticism of Cummings and the mEts handling of Johnson they'll give a fine to prove some kind of point.

It's really bad but I just don't trust whatever the outcome it's offing to be based solely on the rule of land.

Lingoflaming · 02/07/2022 08:10

I think that if another by election is lost then the Tories will start to take notice. They can forgive anything except losing an election because they like to win. So losing potentially a third election in a row will see them lining up a replacement PM.

Roussette · 02/07/2022 08:21

Thank you all ! Waiting on another covid test for DD (not that it'll make any difference!) We're still working through drive by options and bride to be is very chilled and slept well 😀
The sun is shining!

Notonthestairs · 02/07/2022 08:25

"It's really bad but I just don't trust whatever the outcome it's offing to be based solely on the rule of land."

I agree. I'm sure there is a lot of political pressure on Durham constabulary right now.

Thanks for the new thread. I love the title.
It's interesting how in thread 1 we were saying the conservatives needed to get rid of him before the muck spread, yet here we are with the cabinet included in the thread title. The 211 should be ashamed of themselves for allowing the circus to continue.

Have a wonderful day rousette, I hope all goes well and that somehow covid dd gets to take part from a distance.
Can you send some food and cake via a taxi maybe?
Good wishes for a happy married life to your betrothed dd.

OhYouBadBadKitten · 02/07/2022 08:47

Where are we at with Rosindell?

Glad to see you made it over! Smile

@Roussette happy new-mother-in-law day! Wink

I hope your bride DD’s wedding goes perfectly and your sick DD manages to make the best of it (🤞for a negative though).

Notonthestairs · 02/07/2022 09:00

Good grief - that list Shock
Thanks BadAtMaths2.

ClaudineClare · 02/07/2022 09:24

Hope the day goes brilliantly @Roussette

I think it is only a matter of time before Pincher reigns as MP.

DowningStreetParty · 02/07/2022 09:24

This threads going to fill fast at the rate Boris is going. Will there be a Pincher by election?
And shouldn’t there be?!

balalake · 02/07/2022 09:29

Well the one on the dirty dossier about Matt Hancock turned out to be true. Bob's your uncle on that one (well in the case of his now partner, that is the case- Bob Wilson the former footballer is her uncle).

Notonthestairs · 02/07/2022 09:37

OhYouBadBadKitten · 02/07/2022 08:47

Where are we at with Rosindell?

No idea. It's gone very quiet hasn't it.

Notonthestairs · 02/07/2022 10:04

Seems there are more stories coming out about Pincher going back almost a decade.

I don't see how he can remain an MP.

DuncinToffee · 02/07/2022 10:08

Cheers Keir 🍺

Have a lovely day Roussette and family!

New YouGov MRP: Tories set to lose 26 of their 64 their Con-Lib Dem battleground seats, including Dominic Raab and Jeremy Hunt's constituencies

ClaudineClare · 02/07/2022 10:27

This has to be another nail in BloJo's coffin. Why was this man even allowed within sniffing distance of the Whip's office?

DuncinToffee · 02/07/2022 10:35

It wasn't Williamson who walked in on the act, it was Conor Burns of the 'ambushed by a cake' excuse
