Feeling nostalgic and thinking back to my favourite concerts I’ve been to in my time.

Mine would be Alicia Keys, Beyoncé, P!nk, Rihanna, Evanescence, Eminem, Christina Aguilera.

I envy those 10+ years older than me that got to experience some incredible performers such as Michael Jackson, live in concert.

Jalapinot · 17/05/2022 06:22

Prince at Parkhead, Glasgow in 1992 I think. Shakespeare's Sister opened for him, it was amazing.

What I would give to have experienced that era of music. But even more to the point, what I would give to have experienced Michael Jackson live, during that era. I believe you when you say it was amazing. I bet it was bloody incredible.

KatherineJaneway · 17/05/2022 07:08

Michael Jackson. Just the best ever.

I've seen Prince numerous times, amazing every time.
Whitney Houston, what a voice (I saw her in her prime)
Mariah Carey, one of my favourite artists
Barry Gibb, I loved the Bee Gees and was sad to never see them together but Barry was phenomenal
John Denver, funny and so entertaining.

actiongirl1978 · 17/05/2022 07:11

JenniferWooley · 17/05/2022 07:37

Tina Turner at Murrayfield in 1996 when I was 17 - was not a big fan but went for older sisters birthday (she was a huge fan) & absolutely loved it.

Yes it was amazing I saw them live at PinkPop in 2007. It’s on youtube so I’ve watched it many times over the years trying to spot myself in the crowd 😅

Rage against the machine, Glastonbury 94.

10,000 person mosh pit. We were peaking on acid at the time, and it was a mix of bright sunshine and thunderstorms.

Inthesameboatatmo · 17/05/2022 11:29

Bon Jovi at Wembley in the 90s. It was amazing van Halen were supporting so it was brilliant. Then black label society about 17 years ago then black stone cherry not too long ago. I need to go to another concert soon

sickofthisnonsense · 17/05/2022 11:39

I’ve just seen them recently. They were still
fabulous!

My best gig was a free INXS concert in Place de la Republique in Paris in about 1992. I managed to squeeze my way through the huge crowds to the front. They were superb.

Yes I know the concert you’re referring to, was this in NL? I’m going to search for it right now! You’re so bloody lucky! You got to see them in their prime and if you’re as huge an Evanescence fan as me, you’ll agree that is a huge deal! So happy for you! 🤩

Harry Style at the Armadillo in Glasgow for my 40th.
Utterly loved it and him.
Seeing him twice this summer and can't wait.

I've been to many concerts from the 70s onwards and hands down the best performance and entertainer was Gary Glitter.on his comeback tour before he was exposed as a child molester.

No one had his energy, his ability to create a fantastic rapport with the audience and everyone there had a fantastic time and it was talked about for ages as being the best night out.

I got lucky, a friend came down with a really bad flu so she had a spare ticket and gave it to me.

Favourite is Fallen, favourite song is a tie between Tourniquet and Hello.

Pulp headlined on the Saturday night
Best thing was it was all free!

CMOTDibbler · 17/05/2022 13:24

Freddie Mercury Tribute Concert at Wembley, 1992. Just amazing, but Radio Gaga when everyone sort of shuffled themselves into lines to clap was incredible.
