This has just been reported on BBC News. He was only 50 years old. Thoughts are with his friends and family.

It is so, so sad. He alwayscame across as a decent chap, and at their Hollywood concert a couple of months ago he led the cheers for an 11 year old girl, Nandi Bushell, who sat in for him on drums during the band's rendition of Everlong.

I know a load of people who are going to wake up to this news this morning and be shocked, I know I was. RIP.

@Elderflower14 the feels…. Halo

Celebrity deaths rarely get to me. This one has just left me feeling a bit numb. His poor family and the band.

I feel so privileged to have seen him live multiple times. What a talent. X

I'm so sad. Horrible news to wake up to. They've been my favourite band for as long as I can remember. I'm so sad for his family and I'm so sad for his fans.

HelloSpringIveMissedYou · 26/03/2022 06:41

It's so sad, I bloody love Foo Fighters, so sad for them all.

ApolloandDaphne · 26/03/2022 06:42

That is so sad. I love the Foos and have tickets to see them in the summer. It won't be the same without Taylor. I guess they may not even continue their tour which would be understandable.

BlueSpottedGiraffe · 26/03/2022 06:42

Such horrible shocking news. His poor family and also Dave and the rest of the band, him and Dave were like brothers to each other.

ratspeaker · 26/03/2022 06:49

So sad.
Must be a devastating blow to his poor family and the band.

I never got to see them live, had tickets for a gig then Dave Grohl broke his leg, couldn't make resheduled gig.
Always hoped to see them

Mirrorball2022 · 26/03/2022 06:51

Oh no. I love the foo fighters. This is so sad.

Such sad, shocking news. I had tickets to see them this summer & was only telling DD yesterday that this was going to be the highlight of my summer.

AlecTrevelyan006 · 26/03/2022 07:08

Very sad news. A great drummer in a great band who was by all accounts a great guy. RIP.

Flangeosaurus · 26/03/2022 07:12

I’m really shocked by this. What an absolutely horrible tragedy for his family and the band. He always seemed like such a lovely man and he was an incredibly talented musician

Yirk · 26/03/2022 07:17

Sad news...you will be missed Taylor, a great drummer and always a smiley man.

Iggyplop · 26/03/2022 07:23

A devastating lost for his family and friends, I'm a massive fan of the Foo's and was really shocked with the news this morning 🥺

GeneLovesJezebel · 26/03/2022 07:25

Unfortunately it’s not uncommon to get clean and then die of the permanent damage done in the past.
Such a shame. RIP.

Frollop · 26/03/2022 07:25

So sad and a shock.
I was only saying yesterday how many talented musicians go before their time...

OhLookCriedNed · 26/03/2022 07:25

Such sad news to wake up to this morning. Hoping he died from natural causes. I can never wrap my head around how some musicians seem to just go on and on forever, well past their prime and a lifetime of drink and drugs, and then someone like Taylor dies at 50 right in the thick of his career.

Pebbledashery · 26/03/2022 07:27

Really shocked by this one. So very sad.

Normandy144 · 26/03/2022 07:28

I'm so sad about this. He was such a talent and all round lovely guy.

SprayedWithDettol · 26/03/2022 07:28

Totally shocked. I’ve seen them live and he was remarkable. His energy was infectious. Due to see them this summer again. Goodbye Taylor and thank you.

MovinOnUp · 26/03/2022 07:38

Absolutely shocked and gutted by this news.

Baxdream · 26/03/2022 07:38

Awful news to wake up to. I've not long read Dave Grohls book, this is going to break him.
Such sad news
