How many pizzas would you have ordered?

Following a tense situation this evening I though I'd consult the hive mind.

Friday night dinner for 6 adults - how much would you expect you'd need to order?

(Dominoes/Pizza Hut style pizza)

We normally order 6 pizzas, 3 sides (though one is only coleslaw tbf) and cookies plus ice cream. I normally save 2/3 slices of pizza for the next day though.

4 large with 4 sides or 6 medium pizzas.

How are people suggesting 6? I'm pretty fat but in no way could eat a whole domino's pizza. I'd say 3 large pizzas and 6 sides.

It depends on the appetites of the individuals and the size of the pizzas. I normally eat 3 or 4 slices of pizza with a few chips. DH eats a large whole pizza.

I would ask them what they wanted.

Ok so to answer some questions...
2 males, 4 females (one BFing)
No drinking involved
2 have spent the day travelling to destination and the person ordering is aware they missed lunch

Whatever deal they're offering but probably 6 and assume I'd get some for a hungover breakfast (because I wouldn't eat it sober )

4 large pizzas, 3 sides, 2 lots of cookies.

If no sides I would order 5 or 6 large pizzas and hope there was some leftovers for lunch tomorrow. 😋

That being said, between DH, BIL, MIL, FIL and I, we had five large pizzas the other day, but no sides so 🤷🏼‍♀️

Salad, Crisps etc as sides would just come out of the fridge/cupboards.

Or if anyone wanted a whole pizza rather than half I'd expect them to announce pre-ordering that they are really hungry so that could be taken into account.

If someone gave me crisps and salad from the cupboard as sides to dominoes pizza I would be devastated. I want wedges. I don't even want dominoes if I'm not getting wedges

However, it does depend on who is eating, what sides, thin & crispy vs stuffed crust etc

I'd feel so sorry for someone who had to go and get extra.

There large stuffed crusts and several sides.

At home we'd have half a medium pizza each with chicken wings and garlic bread, so 3 medium and a few sides. No leftovers here though, they just go in the fridge and get chucked 4 days later... everrry time...

4 large and a couple of sides. If I was hosting people who had travelled to see me, I might order more as I’d feel like a bad host if I ran out.

I'd probably order 4 plus sides. Can't believe someone has said 1 slice and some wedges would fill them up, I don't know anyone who would eat just that. I'd be ravenous within about an hour of eating 1 slice of pizza

3 large - based on 2 adults, 2 teens and 1 tween just about finishing 2 large and a medium last weekend.
We don't do sides in this house!

Omg OP are you a breastfeeding mother who missed lunch and then got offered a single slice of Domino's??
