How many pizzas would you have ordered?

Following a tense situation this evening I though I'd consult the hive mind.

Friday night dinner for 6 adults - how much would you expect you'd need to order?

(Dominoes/Pizza Hut style pizza)

3 large ones, max.

Maybe with side salad and/or garlic bread.

4 large pizzas and 3 sides.

Don't get me wrong I love me a dominoes but a large pizza and sides is an obscene amount.

6 adults I would definitely do 4 pizzas and 3 sides maybe ice cream and cookies.

Plenty for people to take home and have for breakfast too.

Depending on who it is 3/4 large pizzas and 4 sides.

Any leftovers would be lunch tomorrow. I'd not expect much to be left as people always tend to go back to pizza?

3 large as long as there were sides, maybe another if not or if I didn't mind having a few leftovers for the next day to allow more variety.

Need more info, ratio of men vs women and what preferences were expressed. For me 6 would be too many as personally I would only eat a quarter max of a pizza. However I like to ensure there's enough so I would order 5 minimum and have salads etc too.

Three large. I’d never eat more than a third, so I think that three would average out as enough. But I’d ask in advance to find out just how hungry everyone was and order accordingly. Leftover pizza is amazing, so I’d rather have way too much than a small amount too little.

Oooh. Depends. If people were happy to share then 4 large plus sides. If everyone wanted different pizzas then smaller pizzas plus sides.

4 large plus sides. This is more than is probably needed, but a million times better to have too much than too little. Leftovers for tomorrow's lunch.

For five adults I would order two large pizzas with various sides.

Pizza Hut order is usually
1 x large Pepperoni stuffed crust
1 x Margarita/some sort of veggie thin
2 x chicken strippers
1 x tear and share garlic bread
2 x wedges
1 x cheese triangles

There's always leftovers.

If just ordering pizza, I'd probably order a medium per adult

I just had one… but then I’m veggie so I suppose I ought to (had a great big cheese and chilli pizza though and a looooot of wine).

If drinking involved, 6 large pizzas and sides as would want to go back and nibble more after a while!

I think 1 large and a side dish. A slice of pizza from one of those large pizzas is enormous and would fill me up for ages, adding a few wedges to it would do me until lunchtime the next day

However, it does depend on who is eating, what sides, thin & crispy vs stuffed crust etc

@HunterHearstHelmsley if I was one of the adults at your house and that order was to share between 5, I'd be politely pretending not to be hungry but secretly dying to go to Macdonalds on the way home!
