FlightRadar24 - high traffic following invasion

Is anyone else monitoring the air traffic on FlightRadar24? There was an 8 minute wait to get on to the website!

Lots of military aircraft.

no destination i assume because they are just circling, guarding and up there just in case

No, that's what I thought the first time I saw it but it's from a base on Sicily. I've seen it on other evenings recently, usually you don't see it till it's already at 50,000 ft (the colour varies with height) but once it was visible from nearer ground level.

(And the destination of that drone should be back to that base)

Just watching 4 flights taken off from Lviv all Ukraine airforce… wonder where they are heading?

Been tracking a NATO flight from Canada to Germany (doesn't say Germany, but it's currently 3,000 ft above German airspace). Only knew about it as I heard something go over and local airport is quiet at night, so bobbed on Flight Radar to have a nosey as to what it was. Half tempted to ask my Russian friend who claims NATO are "flying troops into the Russian border to threaten our country" where Germany has a border with Russia.

I see the two us air force from last night are still circling.
Also seeing a US air force plane and helicopter over Poland now.

Spotted RAF just north east of berlin too that seems to be on its way from London

I downloaded the free App as I was fed up of the lag on the website, and the app is much better. It lists the most tracked aircraft each minute (as mentioned by a PP) and so you can quickly see flights of interest.
The Tweets from FlightRadar 24 are also really interesting, although I’m not sure I understand it all.

There are now two US Blackhawks plus another US Jet in the area where the aircraft from Mildenhall hall is circling

The Extender and the Stratotankers are refuelling planes. There's 2 of the latter looping over Poland, and another NCH0223 left mildenhall
I assume their presence indicates lots of other invisible activity.

Looks like a helicopter has come out of Ukraine

There is also a NATO A330 refuelling tanker MMF19 (out of Cologne) over Poland at the moment which replaces another out of Eindoven. Earlier today there was a Joint Rivet aircraft flying around Poland close to the Ukraine / Byelorussian border. Joint Rivet is an Electronic surveilance aircraft. The refuelling tankers will be there to provide support to combat aircraft that will no doubt be patrolling the border areas.

I’ve been following the stratotankers for days it’s been fascinating

Until three days ago they were regularly up in the refuelling zones either side of Scotland mainly at night for incoming flights

3 days ago they headed to Poland and Romania supported by a nato one and at one time I think a German one

As one comes to the end of it’s flying time a new one arrives and you sometimes see 4 up two in each location

The drone has been coming in from near Sicily for about 6 days now that I’ve been tracking

Lots of Black Hawkes around in Romania too

I spend too much time flat with a back injury at the moment and it’s been very interesting. I often screenshot and look them up and that’s how I found a map with all the UK in air refuelling zones
