FlightRadar24 - high traffic following invasion

Is anyone else monitoring the air traffic on FlightRadar24? There was an 8 minute wait to get on to the website!

Lots of military aircraft.

the Swedish airforce looks a bit tetchy up there, just patrolling back and forth in the sea near the polish/lithuanian coastlines

Are you all using the website or the app? Is it worth downloading the app?

So, that US Airforce KC-135 Stratotanker from Mildenhall is used to refuel other aircraft apparently. I wondered if there are other US planes in the proximity that can’t be detected?

I’m intrigued by the one with the call sign UGLY that’s over Ipswich!

i can see the swedish,polish,german,uk,US,swiss and NATO military aircraft nearby Ukraine......with a russian military aircraft approaching the other side of ukraine

It’s a little concerning given the type of aircraft it is, I think.

I should really step away from Flightradar24, but I can’t seem to stop.

I've never seen the military one before, how interesting but slightly scary! I don't know what the "normal" amount of military aircraft is.

Can currently see UK, US, Polish, French, German, Swedish and Swiss air force. One Russian, a private jet (interesting!) And a UFO

@ipswichwitch it's just an apache from the army base at Wattisham. They are always around this area.

Seems there are few going from Mildenhall over to near Ukraine then circling or coming back again

They are a couple of RAF planes over Poland

I was surprised how few there were. Also, there were some showing on Flightradar that weren’t shown on the military one, and vice versa.

We only see the ones they want us to see anyway.

Bizarrely I’m now in and there’s no planes anywhere. Says I need to lay to see planes! Before that I had a cloudflare message saying I was blocked.

Oh now the planes have appeared, that was an odd glitch.

I’ve just tried that UK Military website from her in the USA - nada. Blank page. Not surprising, I suppose.
