Schools closed tomorrow due to weather

Anyone else? We are in the SW. Meant to be pretty windy tomorrow..

Primary school closed here (SW). Secondary school already has an inset day. My teenagers are not impressed, they were hoping to have a binge watching session of a tv programme they normally don't get to watch when the younger ones are around.

We're closed tomorrow too (SE).

I love it that some posters literally don't know what day of the week it is 🤣🤣

Tomorrow is Friday?!

DS had an inset day tomorrow so doesn't make any difference but it's causing a few issues for friends with children at other schools.

South east (berks) We are on alert for closure and online learning.

Derbyshire. No schools closed here but we're on amber warning. We don't tend to get much extreme weather here being smack bang in the middle of the country and far away from the coast, so I'm not expecting it to be as bad as they say.

I'll be going out to work as I can't WFH but it looks like the windiest time will be around 3pm just in time for the school run. 😑

South Devon coast here, we've been warned to check emails at 8am, just in case school decides to close.

Both dc schools are closing and apparently this means they can invite all their friends round tomorrow! Not sure if that's really in the spirit of things...

I love their style

And actually all holed up together (providing it's safe to go out and get to yours) may prove beneficial if the power goes down and their usual way of communicating is affected.

They may have to actually all talk to each other 🤣🤣

I'm central south coast and we've had an email from ds swim club warning us to keep an eye out for if training will go ahead or not.

All open here unfortunately (midlands) only an amber warning here though

SW (Devon) and nearly all schools are closed. Haven’t had any communication from DS’ school but they usually do it at 7am on the morning of, which makes the call into work so much fun!

It's half term here, and I've totally lost track of which day of the week it is, and this morning I was convinced it was Friday already!

To be fair Ursula probably thinks the whole country has the same half term. Everyone is still at school where I live.
I’m on half term now so only our Saturday school could be affected.

We have a red warning so no school. I work in a hospital so still expected into work obviously. Dc are delighted! No school and no parents (they are teens). Everything is secured outside!
I’m looking forward to the village Facebook page trying to track down debris.

Not sure but wouldn't have thought so as the most severe warnings are in the south west.

All schools that I know of in East and mid Devon have already decided they're not opening tomorrow. (I'm in Somerset, near Taunton- all schools round here are also shut)

Cornwall schools closed and I've been told to work from home instead of office tomorrow
