Schools closed tomorrow due to weather

Anyone else? We are in the SW. Meant to be pretty windy tomorrow..

Inset day for us but other schools have moved to online. South Wales.

Yep ours in Dorset is closed too, well switched instead to online learning but we most probably will get a power cut as we usually do even if it’s just a bit windy/stormy so most likely will have no electricity 👍

We’re on HT anyway but I’m another one who thought it was the weekend already . It’s all the children everywhere.

Closed in Cardiff and from social media - most of South Wales plus Ceredigion.

Both children utterly disappointed this means online learning rather than a day off!

I think it's a sensible precaution though given what's being predicted.

Secondary school closed -Gloucestershire. No on line learning either due to potential for distribution to power

Midlands here. We're on half term but DS has a revision class tomorrow that's still on.

Friends and family in SW have had schools closed for tomorrow and several have had their hospital appointments cancelled.

Schools closed and we have received an email saying peripatetic workers to stay at home.

South Dorset and 3 out of 4 schools closed for us so far.
How this means dh and I can still work, I've no idea. We're both keyworkers and wfh is not an option.

South west here. Eldest's school has closed. The younger ones' school is hanging on well beyond almost every other local school. I'm assuming they will crack at some point.

Ours are open but suffolk is Amber warning, not red.

@VanLife I don’t drive and the 40 minute walk to school isn’t safe in normal weather conditions so my children are on a school bus, if they suddenly need collecting I won’t be able to get them, I’m hoping the school caved in so I don’t need to stress!

Just saw there's a red weather warning in a small part of England. Don't think we've ever closed schools for a red wind warning, hope things aren't too bad.
