Beat my wild NYE plans

I have just rushed to Argos to buy a new doormat. I'm now contemplating a takeaway, followed by putting the DC to bed and reading a book on the sofa while DH watches Squid Game.

What does your NYE look like?

Made it through the door just after 7 after a super busy shift with lots of emergencies with hair like Wurzel Gummidge!

Excitingly I have put my scrubs on to wash, feeling a bit more human now post shower and pyjamas. Have eaten take away Tacos.

Will watch the fireworks at midnight with DD and a small glass of something then bed with no work tomorrow - hoorah!

I can’t remember the last time I was actually invited anywhere for NYE so not much is different this year Sad

Today I saw Peppa Pig at the theatre and had my first trip to Hamleys. Smile Now paranoid that we’ve caught Omnicron somewhere along the way having managed to avoid covid this far.

In bed mumsnetting while dc watches Bing after an exciting trip to the co-op!
Left over party food for dinner and now in pjs.

Dh working so bed for us soon until the fireworks wake us up

DD in bed, DH downstairs playing Xbox.
I've just had a lovely bubble bath and am now in bed with a glass of wine, box of chocs and some Netflix. Bliss.

In camper van listening to the sea, just had Chinese, I’m drinking wine hubby on lemonade, dogs fast asleep after a long walk, just going to watch queens of mystery, hoping 2022 is a good one.

All alone, the last of the grown up kids have gone home. Walked the dog, ate leftover chilli and fruit compote. Some scintillating film on with Keira knightley being skinny in occupied Germany.

My DH is working (police, at least 4 of his team are isolating/off) and I feel very sorry for him. I’m going to binge Shadowhunters or War of the Worlds with ddog and 2 puppies on my knee with nice booze stacked up. Thrilling!

Now 6 and a half hours into our 'Potterthon' (Harry, obviously), Chinese takeaway came early and has been scoffed. Just me and DC. I had wine but I've got gallstones and they didn't like the Chinese food as it is so I'll have to default to cork the wine and default to tea I think. Hot chocolate station set up for the DC.

We let the kids choose party food. They then basically just ate pretzels and cheese so we have ALOT of leftovers. They got a miraculous second wind for pudding though. They have finally gone to bed and we are eating the left over food, drinking Prosecco cocktails and watching Death to 2021 which is v funny!

I'm watching crap on the telly under a duvet. While simultaneously ordering 20 pairs of seamfree socks and ignoring the sounds coming from the washing machine.
I'm waiting for the washing machine to completely break before I replace it.

Had picky party tea and about to play bingo with dc before we all head off to bed

Not a massive New Years fan and the last two years we haven't been able to spend it with the friends we've spent it with for near on 18 years so abit of a quiet one

DH, me and 2 DC (and the dog) - Doors locked from 4pm, Chinese by 6pm and bed by 7pm for the soaps! Wouldn't have it any other way Smile

I've found some calming music on YouTube for the dogs. The fireworks started here at half 10 so my laptop is in the kitchen for them with lights out blinds down. Fingers crossed that keeps them chilled for midnight.
