Beat my wild NYE plans

I have just rushed to Argos to buy a new doormat. I'm now contemplating a takeaway, followed by putting the DC to bed and reading a book on the sofa while DH watches Squid Game.

What does your NYE look like?

Me, Dh and the 4 dc are all poorly with Covid. Looks like a fun night ahead.

Bed as soon as kids are asleep as baby wakes a lot! No doubt will be awake at the bells but not through choice!😂

Indian takeaway and return of the king ( we watched fellowship and two towers last two nights, nice revisit after a decade or so) after the kids in bed. Then maybe a midnight ish shag if have the energy and asleep by one as children will be up around 7am.

Chip shop for dinner then pj's wine and a film wild 😜

Home alone for the first NYE ever in my life and I have to say I'm feeling very chilled !

Going to make a massive pasta bake, meal plan, watch trash tv and chill.

On the wine already.

Youngest DC just tested positive so NYE plans out of the window. Just me and DC with a tub of Jacob's crackers and loads of cheese. Early night before I inevitably test positive tomorrow.

I'm by myself too. Covid over Xmas too so I've been alone since Xmas eve, but a negative LFT at 5 this morning so I'm praying for another tomorrow then making a substitute (sensibly distanced) Christmas dinner for my new partner as I missed our first Xmas day and now NYE together.

Ordered a lovely Turkish takeaway for myself this evening with lots of lovely picky bits. And wine. Lots of it. Although I'm one glass in and feel pissed so Ill probably get to about 2000 before I take myself off to bed and watch BrutalMoose on YouTube. I'm actually quite looking forward to it. Currently watching S2 of Ab Fab on tv.

Driving teens around this evening...fun times!

Am also teen DD's chauffeur- picking up her friends then dropping them to a party- it will probably take me 2 hours in all but another parent is collecting - won't drink though just in case!

I'm packing up my front room/library so that when the insurance company finally decide to book in the work I don't have to panic pack. I have c50 shelves, each containing c30 books. I'm 2/3 through packing the books but it is all the other stuff in the room which makes it depressing. For example I really should just bin my cassettes, but I've treasured them for 25-40 years... Lots of assorted junk too as it is the first door so things have been tucked in as I'm not here much.

I just want it to be done so I can move. I am sick of being in limbo and living 200 miles from home with no end in sight.

This evening is sandwich tea then probably a bit of TV after bedtime, then me to bed normal time to be woken at 11:30ish by fireworks!!

I had a new 'friend' over today that was nice (its been a while). As a bonus he set up my new TV on my bed room wall. So food is ordered & I'm going to have a bath so I can eat takeaway in bed & probably have an early night . Kids come back tomorrow. Happy new year all🥂

DH awaiting PCR results and is currently in bed feeling like death so I've just got my PJs on and cracked open the Prosecco, now deciding on a film/series to watch. Only got Ddog for company tonight and shes snoozing away beside me already

All 3 DC have gone to parties-house feels very quiet after the bustle of Christmas.

We are also getting a Chinese takeaway (think the delivery times will be long as everyone seems to be ordering one) and having some fizz-very chill night in-bliss

Oh and waiting for @ReginaaPhalange to update us on baby news!!!

Will be a while I'm afraid as will be an induction so a few days possibly, unless heart rate dips again

I've got a toddler with tonsillitis so I expect to be used as a human comforter for most of the night and tomorrow.
