How long have you been on MN?

And what brought you here? My youngest has just turned 10 which reminded me I found MN when heavily pregnant as suffering agonising SPD with him. I was directed to the Bounty forums by my midwife, then NM was mentioned on there and MN on there. So it was a chain reaction that led me here!
I’m glad it did, I’ve found it a useful hive of information but I can’t believe i’m still here 10 years later

I’ve been here since about 2014 or 2015. I don’t have kids but I was directed here for a funny thread on AIBU (I think it was about someone’s neighbour and his wanking shed ).

I read a few more threads and really liked the posting style. People get invested, they offer solid, no-nonsense advice and there’s a topic for everything you can imagine. I’ve stuck around since then!

The Guardian’s G2 (edited then by Mr Justine) used to have a small weekly supplement on a Friday, which included recommendations of websites to try, and MN was one of them - late in 2000 iirc.

About 12 years, first arrived here in need of advice because I was sure my DH (now exh) was abusive and cheating on me. I had a long thread and tons of great advice. Many, many name changes over the years.

About 5 years. A MN thread came up when I was consulting Dr Google for medical advice. I read the thread then spotted some interesting-looking AIBUs ...

I'm childfree so had never considered looking at MN - I'd vaguely heard of it but hadn't realised it covered so many non-parenting subjects.

About 20 years. Many many name changes though.

2011. Can't remember how I found it. Lurked for a long time before posting though. I was a very naive newbie TBH.

Since 2012 when pregnant with DD and used to read the pregnancy threads, which were my first introduction to mumsnet and I've stayed ever since.

I've been here about ten years.

15 years and several usernames ago I was pregnant and the whole she-who-must-not-be-named thing kicked off and so I popped in for look and never left….

Youngest is 15 soon - so nearly 16 years !

Since I was pregnant thr first time in 2008 so 13 years. I think I found it by googling week by week of pregnancy.

Since about 2009 when there was a Mumsnet takeover at Netmums and it looked like a lot more fun. 😁

Penis beaker! Think I read about it in the daily mail or something and I'd never heard of MN before then. Read the thread and have stayed ever since.

Since 2004 I think or possibly 2005. I've deregistered a couple of times eg when that hacking thing happened but I don't stay away long 😁

I vividly remember getting absolutely roasted in a thread after DS was born. Being called a benefit scrounger etc... I was only a teenager and it actually began years of self harming
But also lots of happy times and some amazing people
