She was always destined to marry someone loaded , she said that's what she wanted years ago and has always been very determined to be famous and rich . Good luck to her though . What amazes me is how different her face looks . I wonder if she had some sort of Lipo on her face 🤔

I loved all of those magazines and adored the posters (pinned up every single Spice Girls one around my room 🙈) but yeah it was TOTP mag, not Smash Hits. There was a lesser known mag which used to refer to Emma as “Sweet Spice” instead of Baby and tried to make it a thing but it didn’t catch on 😂

I disagree. I remember when she started doing voiceovers for documentaries she used to go from her own accent to a posh one as if she was trying to hide her own accent and put a posh one on for TV. I can't remember what her original accent was, but it wasn't 'neutral' or RP.

Why was Posh Spice called 'Posh'? Was it an in joke or something? Because she has always sounded very un-posh to me in a completely normal way. Was it supposed to indicate 'Elegant' or 'Aloof' or 'Shy' or something?

She was posher than the rest of them even if she's not posh for you. It's relative.

Tbh I'd rather be rich than posh. I get it's a class thing in the UK a lot of posh people can live in decrepit castles with equally decrepit teeth. New money wins every time.

I lost track of Geri back when she had a baby what I now read was 15 years ago. Didn’t know that she got married or got posh. I think the difference between her children’s names- the first, not with her current husband, is Bluebell Madonna, the second, with him, is Montague George Hector- tells you that it’s the husband who’s made her posh!

Bit of a contrast between the names alright!

I think the ‘posh’ sobriquet came only from the fact Victoria’s family were fairly well off.

@SoniaFouler Just read the article you linked! That's interesting, well kudos to TOTP magazine, I bet they get annoyed how many people probably wrongly give the credit to Smash Hits (like me ) those nicknames certainly caught on didn't they!

Yeah she looks great but I lost any respect I had for her when she was carrying on with her now husband while his partner was pregnant. Both of them behaved appallingly.

TBH, I've always had a lot of time for her. I know someone who works for CH and she's a big presence at all functions and very down to earth, organising bake sales etc. CH also comes across as a nice bloke and a pretty fair, if not focussed boss.

Christian and Beverley weren't actually married but they owned property and had a child together, Marriage would have been on the cards, I would imagine, if not for Geri's intervention.

I couldn't care less either way about Geri Halliwell, but talk about blaming the OW for a man's shitty behaviour!

I also think it's a mistake to "imagine" things about other people's relationships.

a. No she wasn’t, she was she same. And b. You’re either posh or your not and VB wasn’t. You can make yourself posh, like Kate Middleton, but Posh didn’t.

Just looked at her IG. The riding photos are cringe to the max. Who is she trying to kid that she's horsey? No experienced horsey person wears white breeches outside of competitions, certainly not for leisurely hacks around the home. It's like a French and Saunders sketch!

Don't know what she sounded like before re her voice, but there's definitely an air of 'trying too hard to be classy and posh' about her Insta!

I am just jealous though! I want to waft around on my multimillion pound farm, just riding all day.

Ah yes I remember when she became a Christian. She became involved with some group, can't remember their name, but they had a bit of a media profile at the time and were trying to be the trendy modern face of Christianity.

I have a feeling she also got in on that 00s celeb craze for Kabbalah.
