I'd love to know about things you (secretly or not-so-secretly) love which you're "supposed" to find dull, inconvenient, or just plain crap.

For me: the cheapest tinned vegetables, replacement bus services (nicer view sometimes!), Travelodges.

Having the wax in my ears micro sucked out! It doesn’t hurt but is a noisy, weird sensation but the relief when you can suddenly hear again and if you’ve got earache and it’s suddenly removed is better than sex! 😀

Soft play! I LOVE taking my little children to soft play and running round with them.

Can all you ironing and laundry-loving weirdos please come and live in my house. I will cook for you.

@Graphista thank you for the distinction. I only make fairy cakes myself, although my little ones call them cupcakes!, as I can't do the fancy piping. I went to uni in Scotland and remember going home and saying to my Scottish flatmate that I had seen a macaroni pie in a bakers window and wondered what that was. She looked at me like I was mad and said what do you think it is? It's exactly what it sounds like! I tried one the next day or so but it wasn't really my thing, despite me loving a (good, not horribly bland) macaroni cheese

Winter/cold dull weather! I'm perimenopausal, so I'm never cold, and on cold, rainy blustery days I'm the one who wants to take the dog for a walk! No SAD here.

I also like ironing and hanging out washing.

Unpacking the shopping. I clean the fridge and cupboards beforehand and love putting it all in neatly.
Playing Barbies or any role Playing with my granddaughter. I get quite excited and end up getting totally carried away.

Commuting - I love driving to the office, house music blasting in the car. It's like me-time. Actually, I like going to the office over WFH!
Bright primary colours - my car is yellow, study is pink, living room is bright orange.
Airplane food
Not going anywhere on holiday - as a kid I flew abroad to visit some random family member practically every half term, and travelled a lot until 26, so I've absolutely loved not flying for 2 years. Would be happy to never travel again tbh.

Going to the dentist. I find it incredibly relaxing to get to lie down on a comfy reclining chair for 20 minutes or so in the middle of the day. If i didn't have to keep my mouth open, I bet I could happily nod off.
