Things you enjoy which are supposed to be terrible

I'm inspired by a thread about ""Nice" Things That Aren't Actually Nice" over on the AIBU board.

I'd love to know about things you (secretly or not-so-secretly) love which you're "supposed" to find dull, inconvenient, or just plain crap.

For me: the cheapest tinned vegetables, replacement bus services (nicer view sometimes!), Travelodges.

Travelling. And I don't mean to anywhere exotic. Just being in my car slogging up the motorway even with bad weather and heavy traffic, it's peaceful. Even better if I'm alone

@smallandimperfectlyformed thank you. Where was your macaroni pie from? I think to be fair aulds ones are the best. Also their strawberry tarts which also seem to be a peculiarly scottish thing and not widely available down south. Aulds now sell the syrup!

I was taken to theatre after a particularly bad tear following childbirth and I secretly loved it.
Everyone was lovely, they gave me a spinal block, put warming blankets on my legs and I fell asleep. Last time I was relaxed in 5 years

All day breakfasts abound! Not to mention what we call "hot rolls" which is a yummy crusty bread roll (I've said it that way cos all the other names start bun fights on mn!) filled with 1/2/3 fry up breakfast items. My personal choice is usually a fried egg, tattie scone and fried mushrooms. Most places do the egg perfectly ie white cooked solid yolk still runny and the yolk bursts with the first bite, work it so the yolk drips onto the plate/container and then mop it up with the rest of the roll - heaven!

Blood donors. You get to lay back for 20 minutes and do bugger all. Always feel energised afterwards.

I love an anaesthetic; best sleeps I've ever had.

My C section. Genuinely loved every second of it. It was such a buzz.

Used to love picking the lice and eggs out of my children's hair.
Squeezing a good blackhead.
Using a callous knife to shave the hard skin on my feet.
Love a Premier Inn then walking 50 yards to an all you can eat breakfast.
Don't have a problem with a Wetherspoons like a lot of MN's - if I'm running around I know I can stop there, lots of choice, cheap and quick!

Food, also known as "Junk" food. I don't eat them much because I don't always feel like doing so but when I do, I enjoy them with zero guilt. I stuff myself if I want to.
