Obviously I don't care how he gets treated but do you think other prisoners are going to give him a tough time especially since he's ex police and especially since what he did?

I imagine he’ll be in solitary / 24 hour watch. Which is far more than he deserves.

Yes he's going to have the worst time possible. Sex offender plus ex policeman will guarantee that, whether that's in solitary or not. Still not bad enough for him, but hopefully he'll live in constant fear.

He will be held in a VP wing, along with other sex-offenders etc. Almost certainly other inmates will want to make a name for themselves and try and attack him.

I agree that he'll be on the "numbers" wing with the other sex-offenders. Other prisoners make their food, and I know that they take great delight in adding shit, semen and pubic hair into that particular wing's food.

Came here to say he'll surely be in solitary but others have beaten me to it. I imagine he wouldn't be onto the normal wings even if he wanted to be.

Don't worry, he will be very much protected and treated better than any other prisoner. He'll get incredibly special treatment

Not usually an advocate of the death penalty. But in this case I’d say just put the bastard down like the animal he is.

Well one things for sure he is incredibly thick! He knows what happens to nonces in prison and surely must have been aware there were CCTV cameras everywhere.

Lifers will be desperate to do him some damage for the kudos. The man (won’t say his name) who murdered Holly and Jessica in Soham has been attacked several times I believe. It’s par for the course when you’ve gained notoriety for having committed the worst kinds of crimes.

I'd be very surprised if he lasts a week without someone attacking him. Being a sex offending copper puts him on the same level if not lower than nonces in prisoner hierarchy. I don't even think it'll have anything to do with someone trying to make a name for themselves. They'll do it because he deserves it.

He should just be hung, he has zero purpose to himself or anyone else just a burden on the tax payer.

I hope he rots slowly in a cell with only his thoughts for company and a growing understanding of the horrors he inflicted on that poor woman. I'm in tears today reading about what Sarah went through, and incandescent for her grieving family and friends. I'm so scared for my DDs, as a mother. Sarah's mother's statement has broken my heart. I hope he has no rest, no peace, just pain and fear for the rest of his life. Never thought I'd wish that on someone but the extent to which he planned it.

Oh I don’t know, I don’t imagine solitary confinement is a particularly pleasant experience.

As for him being given a hard time by other prisoners, let’s not pretend that those prisoners will give him a hard time out of some kind of moral objection to what he’s done. The kinds of prisoners who will want to make a name for themselves for attacking someone like him are already violent lowlife, probably doing time for similar crimes who just want to gain a bit of notoriety.

And I don’t get the obsession with not mentioning his name. He is who he is, his name should be synonymous with what he’s done, not hidden away so people forget him. Because once you start forgetting his name, people will start forgetting who she was as well. In years to come people aren’t going to remember “Sarah Everard who was killed by some bloke,” but if his name is known then she will remain known as well.
