Locked in a shop overnight.

If you were locked in a shop overnight ( by yourself and in no danger )
Which type of shop would you choose ?
Mine would 100% be a bookshop . Even better if it had somewhere to make a coffee / tea.
My idea of heaven.

Without doubt a bed shop

DeborahAnnabel · 28/09/2021 15:07

Chanel.
Maybe Louis Vuitton.

Aroundtheworldin80moves · 28/09/2021 15:08

Lego shop.

Can build a few dream sets.

crochetmonkey74 · 28/09/2021 15:08

Mine would be a department store - try on all the clothes, swan around with the designer handbags, spritz myself with all the perfumes I can't afford (Tom Ford) then go and sample all the nice chocolates from the food hall- make myself a cappucino and take myself off to one of the squashy beds- this is a fantasy of mine so I have pondered it a lot!

Waterstones with a Costa in it. Leave me there for a week.

Lemoncurd · 28/09/2021 15:09

Not quite what you are asking, but I did get locked in Tesco once!

Amdramfan · 28/09/2021 15:09

Arcade (is that a shop?) if not then treat/sweetie shop

LaTomatina · 28/09/2021 15:09

IKEA! Especially if I had access to the cafe as well as the showroom.

Lansonmaid · 28/09/2021 15:10

100% agree with a bookshop. Better still if I had a bag to take away the best books in....

Sparklfairy · 28/09/2021 15:11

A chocolate shop. As long as it wasn't Thorntons.

greensnail · 28/09/2021 15:12

100 per cent IKEA. I'd love to sleep in one of the little mocked up bedrooms.

MarshaBradyo · 28/09/2021 15:12

The nicest department store that has beds, food and books

Does Harrods have all those not sure

BiddyPop · 28/09/2021 15:12

I agree - a bookshop (and a secret bottle of something hidden under the counter that I could sip away all night while reading).

Otherwise, maybe a sauna/spa, where I could lounge on the beds, and in the warm water, give myself a facial (without the relaxing massage part), and possibly do some maintenance waxing (parts I can reach), soak my feet and give them a good scrubbing, properly files and paint my nails (hands and feet) in peace and quiet, have a very very long hot shower in peace and have time to blowdry my hair properly so I look human again before I emerge.

thenightsky · 28/09/2021 15:13

Me and my friend used to have this dream. We chose Ikea.

WellThatsATurnipForTheBooks · 28/09/2021 15:13

Is there such a thing as an off-licence in a book store?

Reallyimeanreally2022 · 28/09/2021 15:13

Selfridges

You’d have to drag me out the next morning kicking and screaming

Eminybob · 28/09/2021 15:13

Overnight? What did you do?
sqirrelfriends · 28/09/2021 15:14

Department store for sure.

Play with all the makeup at the makeup counter, try on expensive clothes, and then pig out on posh chocolates and gin before heading to bed. Bliss.

Eminybob · 28/09/2021 15:14

Big department store for me too.

Anyone remember that episode of Dawson’s creek where Joey and Pacey got locked in a shop overnight? I’d love that.

Billybagpuss · 28/09/2021 15:14

Someone did get locked in the big bookshop by Trafalgar Square a few years back, and he phoned the police to be let out before he’d even built a fort!

Eminybob · 28/09/2021 15:15

(Especially if locked in with Joshua Jackson!)

iklboo · 28/09/2021 15:15

The Range - pretty much everything I'd need for overnight.

ReeseWitherfork · 28/09/2021 15:16

There's something quite appealing about being in IKEA without 20,000 other people.
3luckystars · 28/09/2021 15:18

Mine would be a hardware shop, I love the smell so much.

gardeninggirl68 · 28/09/2021 15:18

When I lock up our store for the night this is my BIGGEST fear.... locking a customer in!
