No idea who Jason Patric was/is, but I have Googled and can confirm that Rob Lowe is better.

My other favourite movies which I could watch again and again are The Bodyguard and Pretty Woman. And PW has a rather dubious storyline which I didn’t really realise at the time. Hmm

Ihopeyourcakeisshit · 22/08/2021 14:05

I think Jason Patric was in some kind of love triangle with Julia Roberts and Keiffer Sutherland? bring back sleb twaddle

Seriously I was excited about seeing somebody better looking than Rob Lowe Shock But no it was not to be. I checked the 80s pictures and everything!
HannaHat · 22/08/2021 15:01

Ooh, have you not watched Lost Boys? He plays the older brother, Michael.
Fair do’s, I’ll have Jason, you can keep Rob.

Hemingwaycat · 22/08/2021 15:18

No way. I liked it when I was a tween and in my early teens but I tried watching it as an adult and it’s dire. I thought Baby’s Dad was an arse when I watched as a teen but now realise he was a decent Father trying to protect his daughter.

Kanaloa · 22/08/2021 16:45

Yes to be fair probably best not to dig into 80s films looking for any type of common sense! Just seemed like a bit of a plot hole that none of these professional dancers had time to learn a relatively simple routine when they had time to have a footloose party every single night.
