Mine isn't turning out to be very 'free' - trying to work from home again in 30 degree heat with two self-isolating primary age children whose school term finishes next Friday 😩

Off to work as usual, but then going to the local pub to order a beer at the bar, mask free. And I cannot wait.

resipsa · 18/07/2021 16:30

I bet 😄.

I'm also off to work as usual (I've been back I the office a while now 🤨). However, DH has been gifted the day off by his company, so at least he will do the early dog walk and cook dinner - winner!

Mine isn't turning out to be very 'free' - trying to work from home again in 30 degree heat with one self-isolating primary age child whose school term finishes on Wednesday 😩. Luckily it is the last day of his self isolation!!

Chanel05 · 18/07/2021 16:39

Same as every other day. I'm on mat leave. Go for a walk, pop in the shops, minus a mask.

ZZGirl · 18/07/2021 16:39

I'm isolating for the third time in 4.5 weeks

Karmagoat · 18/07/2021 16:40

Got an email from work saying I have to isolate till the 25th as someone I have close contact with has tested positive. Oh the ironyHmm

Mogloveseggs · 18/07/2021 16:41

Was planning on the beach with Ds as it's my day off but forgot it was freedom day. Might just stay home.

gardeninggirl68 · 18/07/2021 16:43

I'll be spending the day off work and will be culling all the masks I can find.... will bin the lot

Got new packs we haven't opened yet set aside for when we go back into lockdown though

YellowandGreenToBeSeen · 18/07/2021 16:44

Wearing a mask in situations where I feel it’s necessary (shops, transport, pubs etc). Worrying about my CEV mum not feeling safe to leave the house.

TooWicked · 18/07/2021 16:45

I’ll be going to work and doing my job without wearing a mask and I won’t be making my clients continue to wear one either, and I can’t bloody wait!

RuthW · 18/07/2021 16:45

No change to normal.

ChequerBoard · 18/07/2021 16:46

WFH as usual with the added pressure of needing to drive 45 mins each way to take DS to fracture clinic in the middle of the day, such fun (not).

LindaEllen · 18/07/2021 16:47

Working then attending my hobby where we can attend the same meeting without distancing or using masks for the first time since all of this started.

Iggly · 18/07/2021 16:47

Child at home isolating.

Great.

EastWestWhosBest · 18/07/2021 16:49

Going to work as normal and after that still wearing a mask as I have been previously because I believe it’s the right thing to do.
I’ve had Covid and both vaccines bit wearing a mask in the supermarket etc really isn’t that much of a big ask.

Flaunch · 18/07/2021 16:51

Same as normal but minus a mask! Can’t wait.

Hen2018 · 18/07/2021 16:56

Continuing the same as I have been.

dingit · 18/07/2021 17:03

My dds graduation. A bit different to normal. She's not allowed to be handed her scroll, it's already in her hand. She walks up, doffs her cap, no handshaking and walks back. Oh and we aren't allowed in the cathedral, we are in a marquee watching on screen.
But hey, it's happening and I'm very proud. The weather looks good so we should get some lovely photos

Raera · 18/07/2021 17:07

Going to a campsite where they have asked for social distancing in shower block and masks in the (small) shop - fine by me.
Wednesday going to a festival for the weekend which has no set limits as long as double vaccination or recent negative test prior to arrival. It's a "test site"
We will take masks and see how we feel, but won't wear them outdoors. Very excited!

BuggerOffAndGoodDayToYou · 18/07/2021 17:08

Pretty much the same as everyday since this whole thing started. I’ll be going to work at school. The same as I did during all lockdowns including some of the holidays and even bank holidays as we were open for vulnerable children and children of key workers. I won’t be going to any pubs or anything as I don’t want to put a stop to my self catering, rural isolated, holiday next week. Covid is not going away and I will not risk catching or spreading it if I can avoid it by taking sensible precautions.

KatherineJaneway · 18/07/2021 17:10

WFH then out for dinner. Looking forward to it.

TheLovelinessOfDemons · 18/07/2021 17:10

Exactly the same as today. I'm not giving up my mask until it's safe for DS1 to leave his house.

cervixuser · 18/07/2021 17:10

normal day, will continue to wear face coverings in shops etc and will have a quiet evening at home so that my cat's bum face doesn't put off the people who deserve some good times. I don't think we should be binning face coverings yet.

wendz86 · 18/07/2021 17:10

Sports day at school . In year groups rather than whole school at same time so not totally normal . Need to go to tesco and will wear a mask .
