Mine isn't turning out to be very 'free' - trying to work from home again in 30 degree heat with two self-isolating primary age children whose school term finishes next Friday 😩

Mine and DD’s self isolation ended at midnight last night so today really is freedom day. She’s going to holiday club and I’m going to do the shopping (with a mask on) and maybe a coffee in the park just because I can!

I've actually just realised that the next time I leave my sweltering house will be for my hospital CT scan in two weeks - assuming all the beleaguered staff aren't at home isolating or unwell by then.

Good luck everyone.

Several of our local businesses have posted on Facebook that they will be carrying on as before, or with a few minor changes, and asking for people's co-operation.

Work as usual, still with a mask and social distancing. It's a work-wide rule although I'd wear one regardless - we come in to contact with so many different people it would be silly not to IMO. Most local businesses doing the same thing as us. If I pop to shops I'll still wear a mask.

Will add that as well as coming into contact with different people all day, we're quite understaffed - we'd struggle to lose someone to isolation so we're being as careful as poss.

Every day is freedom day for me Grin
