Just marvelling at my soda stream. We used to buy SO much sparkling water the amount of plastic was dreadful. I'm so glad I bought it! has really made life better.

Also my quartz worktops.... was a splurge but bloody hell my kitchen is a beautiful place to be now. I can't stop looking at them!

Enjoy

I waited twenty years for a new kitchen, I love it every single penny of it.

catfunk · 04/07/2021 10:12

oh and real wool blankets/throws. I used to buy crappy acrylic ones to be frugal. but it really is a false economy as they don't look good for very long and I got through loads before finally investing in a nice thick real wool one. very warm and snuggly too.

Memory foam pillow. Comfortable every night from the moment I get in bed.

Atalune · 04/07/2021 10:14

Yes to the soda stream! We have the electric one. It’s amazing.

Also our dog. Best money I ever spent, she makes us so happy everyday.

FinallyFluid · 04/07/2021 10:15

I am just getting there on that thinking, I bought acrylic ones for the garden and they still look good as they are rarely used, the one I use indoors is a different matter, so thank you for that is going on the list for this winter.

Cordless hoover.
I loathed hoovering before but couldn't feel good about a bitty floor.

ssd · 04/07/2021 10:21

Op, does a soda stream make like pepsi max or lemonade?

ssd · 04/07/2021 10:24

Just googled, it just makes sparkling water

Atalune · 04/07/2021 10:24

I just make fizzy water with mine. I do add cordial like elderflower or Apple sometimes but that’s to a glass I wouldn’t fizz up the cordial with with water if you see what I mean.

Super king bed. Life changing sleep quality.

Roomonb · 04/07/2021 10:24

Robo vacuum
Airpods

spagbog5 · 04/07/2021 10:25

Our bonkers cat that we all adore is definitely the best money we have ever spent as she brings us so much joy.

Our Jura bean to cup coffee machine is awesome and used frequently every day.

Our new super king mattress from Costco
We sleep so much better and are so well rested !

Scaredycat87 · 04/07/2021 10:26

Don’t have sparkling water
Worse for your teeth than sweets
As my dentist said

Me? My robo vac. No hesitation

MyCatDribbles · 04/07/2021 10:27

£75 to the Cats Protection for our rescue cat

Best thing we ever “bought” for sure

Couldhavebeenme2 · 04/07/2021 10:30

@ssd

Just googled, it just makes sparkling water
You can buy the syrups to add to the fizzy water to make lemonade, cola etc. Much cheaper than the branded ones.
ListenToChickens · 04/07/2021 10:30

Op, does a soda stream make like pepsi max or lemonade?

It does. There are special soda stream cordials. I've only tried the Diet Coke one so far, and it's great. I just make fizzy water and put some in a glass, so make it like squash. Others add it to the large bottle.

Apparently the tonic water cordial is great.

ssd · 04/07/2021 10:30

Aye, but does it make irn bru Grin

MyGrassIsBrowner · 04/07/2021 10:31

My KitchenAid mixer (baking is effortless now) and my Shark hoover.. spent nearly a grand on the two but it's the best nearly a grand I've ever spent! 😂

ElspethFlashman · 04/07/2021 10:31

Dyson.

Was very worried about the cost, but omg we use it every day. I don't even sweep under the kitchen table anymore, I just grab the Dyson. Brilliant for small kids when they get crumbs all over the carpet, you've sucked them up in 30 seconds. We're getting a pet later on in the summer and hopefully it'll be brilliant for hair too.

We do a lot more hoovering than we ever did. We still have our old regular Vax and we haven't used it in about a year. The hassle of the cord really pisses me off now!

Adopting my dcat

My weighted blanket

Having the garden done

randomkey123 · 04/07/2021 10:36

My two dogs.

Even though I got soaking wet this morning walking them, and they both needed a bath. My wellies were so heavy with mud I could barely walk. One had a thorn stuck in their paw which needed tweezing out, and the other ate something they shouldn't from the grandkids and has the shits Grin

ZingDramaQueenOfSheeba · 04/07/2021 10:40

my 1st plane ticket to England. it allowed me to meet DH

cricketmum84 · 04/07/2021 10:41

Adoption fees for both my cats 🥰

£250 for a revitive machine that's helping with leg pain.

£200 on a bath lift which has finally given me some privacy and independence back. That's definitely the best money I have ever spent.

Jloco · 04/07/2021 10:41

Hotel Chocolat Velvetiser. People are quick to say it’s just a milk frother but I don’t care! It makes the perfect amount of hot chocolate at the perfect temperature and is absolutely heavenly. Every time I use it (which is a lot!) I think how glad I am that I bought it.

I’ve also just bought a Silentnight cooling pillow and have a feeling that might be up there too…

ReachedTheEndofCake · 04/07/2021 10:44

Just a small one, but paid £40 for delivery of a large solid oak wardrobe - this included delivery to room of choice. Dp wanted to save the £ and get it himself.

It took two burly delivery guys 3 attempts trying to get it up the stairs and in the end had to dismantle and rebuild it in the room.

I was watching the sheer effort and providing the lemonade!
Best £40 ever.
