Prok it's not being a very good June.

Sorry MissConductUS I didn't explain very well earlier. My Aunt's first husband didn't let her be herself so she got divorced. Second one who I really loved died suddenly. Cousin from first marriage is neglecting her. I'm going to send him incorrect binary code or daft poems until he contacts her again

Frownette · 29/06/2021 19:34

I've sent stupid poem for today

Frownette · 29/06/2021 19:48

I'm quite good at disturbing people as I'm so non treatening. Too small. I'll harass him every day for a month until he phones my Aunt and says MAKE HER STOP. He thinks of me as a little rug rat anyway as I'm 10 years younger.

Sunbird24 · 29/06/2021 19:51

I’m sorry you lost the football Prok, I was hoping I might be able to use my garden again soon.
I have booked a massage for Sunday as I should be having my embryo transfer on Monday. Third time lucky?

Silkiecats · 29/06/2021 19:52

Was annoyingly loud here and no parking from village pub, apparently something to do with a football game.

Oh hopefully Flowers
Silkiecats · 29/06/2021 20:08

Good luck Sunbird When I did mine I was told to drink lots of milk every day and they said that helps though I think is was my lucky pink fluffy socks that did it.

Prokupatuscrakedatus · 29/06/2021 20:14

sunbird Flowers

Yeah it must have been the socks. I've just sent my cousin another rhyming couplet including binary code. He's going to get this every day until he breaks and contacts his mother.
Sunbird24 · 29/06/2021 20:20

Oh I’m going to have to buy socks now! I’m already planning McDonalds fries for on the way home after 😂 Implanting seems to be fine, it’s getting them to 8 weeks I have a problem with so far

Silkiecats · 29/06/2021 20:23

Well it certainly wasn't Silkiecat as everytime DH was about to do my injection she would start charging round and run up the door frame to the top to watch. And then once embryos were in she kept walking over me, though maybe she helped implant one of them.

dopeyduck · 29/06/2021 20:30

Celebrating DS sleeping soundly and the end of my working week with a chocolate brownie treat!
I applied for a new role within my job this week but will be a fairly big change. Wondering if I've done the right thing and if I'll even get the job.
Will be trying to relax for a couple of days now whilst I wait....

Fluffy socks, a definite plan Grin

Right I'm going to pull out the wildcard with my cousin. He very much loved my father so if I do a little chemistry code and mention his name he will really know I mean business

Prokupatuscrakedatus · 29/06/2021 21:11

Socks - I knew I'd forgotten sth. I am supposed to wear a pair of those 'stopper socks' tomorrow. Physio wants me to go on a trampoline - uneven and insecure ground.

Frownette · 29/06/2021 21:25

What are stripper socks?! You don't mean sparkly? Actually I'm a bit lost in direction at present, everone seems ok. I gave up on torturing my multimillionaire cousin because he wasn't reacting. I have such a huge advantage because I'm ten years younger and he used to say "are you my daughter?" and I leant in and said "no your cousin". I'm 10 years younger than my cousins so they are never sure who I am.

MissConductUS · 29/06/2021 21:26

Sunbird, good luck on Monday. Flowers. The fries are an excellent idea.

Congratulations to all in the UK on the football win. I once heard a Brit define soccer football as a game where a bunch of people kick a ball around for an hour, then Germany wins. It seems he was wrong. In other football news, I read recently that the American women's team that won the world cup is more or less the same team that is going to compete in the Tokyo Olympics.

Good luck with the new role you've applied for Dopeyduck.

I'm about to head home. It's crazy hot here, about 39 C.

I misread that as stripper socks Prok Shock

I think Sunbird you are then going to need to wear the pink, fluffy socks all pregnancy and never take them off even in the bath / shower or when 30C out. I can't vouch for anything other than pink ones. I had a 100% success rate and the clinic only had a 20% one. That and a pint of milk everyday in a hot milk with vanilla syrup. If you get one from a coffee shop with a lid you can also take that in the bath.

Prokupatuscrakedatus · 29/06/2021 22:29

Stripper socks - are they a thing in English speaking areas Grin?

I remember when I first encountered the term 'strip mall' in books and wondered what all the kids were doing hanging out there ...

Sunbird24 · 29/06/2021 23:23

😂
I think I knew what you meant Prok, is it the socks with the bits on the bottom to give you more grip?
Silkie I don’t think I can commit to never taking the socks off, although if you’re keeping them on 24/7 then showers are probably useful for the smell…

Silkiecats · 30/06/2021 01:23

Well I did see on a TV programme the other day a woman who sells videos of her feet to men so maybe she could make the videos more exciting with stripper socks? She was just putting her feet in fruit but maybe she could extend her routine starting with stripper socks and taking them off really slowly.

If Sunbird can't commit to 24/7 sock wearing maybe she also needs stripper socks. Though I don't know what the outcome will be. Light pink produced a girl. So maybe light blue for a boy and yellow for don't mind. But extensive research has not been done in this area so Sunbird will need to be a guinea pig.

I just cleaned all our bedroom and old bed frame as we are throwing it out, council is collecting by 6am tomorrow.

Been told there is a y9 covid case so we are hoping not to get close contact. DS always manages to get close contact despite never going near other children whereas the very social DD has avoided it.

Silkiecats · 30/06/2021 01:27

I just googled stripper socks and it came up with pole dancing stripper socks. Blush

MissConductUS · 30/06/2021 01:31

A woman I know named her daughter Dakota. My first thought was "That's a stripper's name." 😃

Silkiecats · 30/06/2021 01:39

MissConduct also sounds like a strippers name Wink

Champagneforeveryone · 30/06/2021 02:47

Morning all, glad to have found you again Smile

I was startled to discover that we are going away 5 weeks on Saturday, I suspect my brain has subconsciously suppressed this to save me from any further disappointment should it not happen.

I have therefore started to plan ( I am A Planner by nature!) and am agog at how much stuff one needs to take away to self cater in the UK, so much so that I suspect we will end up taking two cars. This means we will not have stereo wars between DH and DS and I will not have to listen to DDog2 singing her little heart out all the way up the motorway.

Incidentally, it will be the first time we have taken DDogs with us. I've just realised it's rather like packing for a pair of toddlers Grin

Silkiecats · 30/06/2021 03:01

We usually stay at hotels but a week of ours is self catering this year though we still only really pack clothes / swimming costumes and wetsuits this year and get food there.

Silkiecat is currently mad with DH but he's fast asleep snoring a bit here, she was cross he helped me move the bed as it was very heavy. He also didn't go to sleep with her. He will hear it in the morning.

I have to pay the balance of our hotel for 1 night in Tresco, £420 for 1 night Shock, think that is the most I have ever paid for a night anywhere. It does include the spa and the tropical gardens and thankfully everything else was reasonably priced. Much of it is owned by the Duchy of Cornwall. I got DS a Tresco island sweatshirt and t-shirt, he worn the sweatshirt on the school sponsored walk.
