What is the most beautiful surname you have heard?

I've been researching my family tree and there are a lot of surnames, mostly usual Irish, Scottish but some interesting ones and it got me thinking about surnames in general.

I always thought Italian surnames are very beautiful, Baccino, Santangelli.

I love ones that are simple such as Flower, Beach and Ocean too.

So, what's the most beautiful one you have ever heard?

Some beautiful names here, Valentine, Christmas and the precious stones ones are my favorites.

Not too keen on Bastard though, I suppose it would build a thick skin in someone!

She was terribly proud of it, said they were descended from an illegitimate child of William the Conqueror. Not sure if that was a fantasy.

Montacute is a lovely surname.

I also once worked with a Dr Dearlove who was a lovely chap.

On the flip side I came across a Mr Pee the other day and did wander why he hadn't availed himself of the deed poll service.

When my dm was a midwife there was a Krystle O'Driscoll and a Jellian Coustard.

I was in school with a Claire De La Cruz. It feels lovely to say.

I know a Mr Christmas which I think is lovely.

One of my favourite surnames is Moy, it just sounds nice.

My DS has a friend whose surname is Gathergood. I love it - it sounds so gentle.

My favourite is de Winter

PE teacher at my high school was called Miss Lightfoot, which is lovely.

Girl in my class had the surname Godsafe, which is also pleasing.

I had a teacher called Mrs Rocket which I thought was lovely! I also knew a Thundercloud a long time ago.

I saw an article about a couple who were getting married and their surnames were White and Christmas so they decided to hyphenate them to White-Christmas.
Another surname I like is Nightingale like Florence Nightingale.

I like Kinsella. Nice to say and looks good. Irish but looks Italian.

For a while, someone thought my surname was Buchanan. I quite like that as well - sounds quite distinguished.

Longshadow. I thought it sounded like the surname of a character of a Harry Potter character and had to be made up lol. It’s not, there’s a few of them out there.

I knew a girl called Zilla Starbuck.

I have Valentines in my family. Never occurred to me it was a particularly impressive name!
