I think the only way to solve this is to book an appointment with him, travel the 25 minutes to the uni campus (not forgetting calling Costa for the obligatory coffee for the journey) , pay the RIP OFF parking charges, wait around outside the locked doors (that can only be opened via my student card that I always seem to forget) till someone lets me in, find the right room and finally sit down with him again to question what the name is!!!

Or tell us the actual surname and we’ll track it down if it’s real?

So I have an answer (of sorts!!) A man in my class (let’s call him Bill) mentioned on the course group chat this morning he had an appointment with the same advisor today so I asked him to ask him for me.

Anyway the name is Rowan!!! BUT he pronounces it Ryan?!?!? Bill told him that he’d spoken to me and I couldn’t find the recommendation on Facebook and that I thought it was misspelling it so he spelled it out. And Bill said ah so Rowan? And he said no it’s pronounced Ryan .
