Because I had to write it down today but I was too embarrassed to ask him to clarify the spelling 🙈.

Wyan

WovenFish · 30/03/2021 15:23

Did they just mean their name was Wyan?

FeckinCat · 30/03/2021 15:23

Wryan?

DownWhichOfLate · 30/03/2021 15:24
Grin
HirplesWithHaggis · 30/03/2021 15:24

I would think Wryan.

Easterbunnyispackingherbasket · 30/03/2021 15:25

Wyan and they have a speech impediment?
Sorry no help- but Only Fools and Horses came to mind with the Roy Orbison wannabe..
*having a very shitty day and have made myself laugh... Not laughing at those with a speech issue at all.

Monkeytapper · 30/03/2021 15:26

Are you sure they said Ryan and not Euan/Ewan?

SwedishEdith · 30/03/2021 15:27

Wry-Anne

PuzzleMonkeyMum · 30/03/2021 15:27

I’ve just had a look on Facebook and I can’t find anyone with that spelling. Basically I asked for a recommendation, the person recommended ‘Ryan with a W’ surname and said their business was on Facebook. I didn’t have any phone signal to search Facebook there and then and I was also very confused about the spelling so said I would have a look later! I thought it night be Rywn, maybe a Welsh spelling? But I’ve googled and that’s not a word or name!

OP posts:
Soubriquet · 30/03/2021 15:27

Either Wryan

Or maybe it was actually Euan

Or maybe Wyan/Wyatt

OneRingToRuleThemAll · 30/03/2021 15:27

It would be impossible to spell Ryan with a W. Even auto correct just won't allow it 🤣🤣

NameChangedForThisFeb21 · 30/03/2021 15:27

Did they say “double u” or “wuh”?

If the first...not a clue, I’d have to say “I’m sorry I’ve never had to use a W in Ryan, would you mind spelling it out for me?”

If “Wuh” I’d guess they had a speech impediment and meant Ryan.

SuperLoudPoppingAction · 30/03/2021 15:28

Wyvern? Parents fans of fantasy novels?

LubaLuca · 30/03/2021 15:28

I'd guess Wryan.

midlifecrash · 30/03/2021 15:29

Gosh Wryan is actually a name if you Google it, people on Twitter and everything.

I never knew that

PuzzleMonkeyMum · 30/03/2021 15:29

No he definitely said Ryan because he said his name a couple of times

OP posts:
DrinkFeckArseGirls · 30/03/2021 15:30

Wryan like Wren.

PuzzleMonkeyMum · 30/03/2021 15:31

He said double u. I should have just asked him to clarify but I was in a rush and thought oh that’s weird but I have an unusual spelling of a very common name so didn’t think too much and just assumed it was Rywn! Ive even googled ‘Ryan with a W’ and can’t find anything. I’m so confused 😂

Has anyone else Googled "how to spell Ryan with a w" and got disappointing results.

Spudlet · 30/03/2021 15:34

Can you text the person that recommended him and pretend you’ve forgotten the name? Then you’ll have it in writing. That’s what I’d do!
