Because I had to write it down today but I was too embarrassed to ask him to clarify the spelling 🙈.

For quite sometime I thought the lady I worked with remotely was Kate Withersea (she's actually Cate - with a 'C' - Jones)

That's really funny, I'm guessing Cate, is short for Catherine and she doesn't like changing her first initial so shes always C Jones.

KindChick · 30/03/2021 18:34

It’s Rwyan

katy1213 · 30/03/2021 18:38

I don't think you're the one who needs to feel embarrassed. I blame the parents.

HermitsLife · 30/03/2021 18:39

@MarieIVanArkleStinks

Wattled by a wabble of wowdy webels.

Darkbrownistheriver · 30/03/2021 18:41

How about trying Wrayan? That seems to be a name - based on Google..

SummerHouse · 30/03/2021 18:42

Ryuun? Double u?

BorisandHarriet · 30/03/2021 18:43

Sorry OP I’ve only skim read some of this but is it definitely not “Ryan with a double N” so Ryann?

Or Owain maybe? Sounds similar in pronunciation to Ryan and has a W...

Darkbrownistheriver · 30/03/2021 18:44

There’s also some Ryan Aw’s in case you got the wrong end of the stick as in ‘Ryan A W’.

HappyDaysToCome · 30/03/2021 18:46

There’s a Welsh name that sounds something like Yiyan? But not spelt anything like that. And probably not with a W.

(Not helping much, sorry)

SummerHouse · 30/03/2021 18:50

Or is he actually Ryan Witherdoubleyou

GraceArcher · 30/03/2021 18:53

This is why you should think twice before giving your child a welsh name.

I think you mean Ieuan. It's not pronounced Yiyan. More like Yeh-yan

dancemom · 30/03/2021 18:55

Could he have meant double y?

Ryyan?

Lucent · 30/03/2021 19:01

This is fast turning into Boswell.

PuzzleMonkeyMum · 30/03/2021 19:13

I think the only way to solve this is to book an appointment with him, travel the 25 minutes to the uni campus (not forgetting calling Costa for the obligatory coffee for the journey) , pay the RIP OFF parking charges, wait around outside the locked doors (that can only be opened via my student card that I always seem to forget) till someone lets me in, find the right room and finally sit down with him again to question what the name is!!!

🤣🤣🤣 Why hello there Mr Witherdoubleyou.
chipsandgin · 30/03/2021 19:27

I blame the parents too - another example of ‘Yoounique’ spelling gone wrong, poor guy!

Butwasitherdriveway · 30/03/2021 19:28

@SummerHouse
You win the thread

@chipsandgin not really. If suggests OP misheard.

My favourite version is Rywn

cunexttime · 30/03/2021 19:32

Maybe it was double U as in Ryuun?!

BellaVida · 30/03/2021 19:43

With ‘W’ I would spell Wryan

With double ‘u’ Ruyun???

MyDcAreMarvel · 30/03/2021 19:46

@PuzzleMonkeyMum found him for you, and his t-shirt indicates he is willing to do your driveway.

If someone told you their name was Ryan but Ryan spelt with a W how would it be spelt?
Ggeemerc · 30/03/2021 19:49

Rowan?

DuckbilledSplatterPuff · 30/03/2021 19:49

Sorry if this has been said already, I've just skimmed but I keep thinking of Jonathan Ross.. or should I say Woss.

Butwasitherdriveway · 30/03/2021 19:50

@BellaVida

With ‘W’ I would spell Wryan

With double ‘u’ Ruyun???

Ryuun
