Because I had to write it down today but I was too embarrassed to ask him to clarify the spelling 🙈.

Have you tried just googling with his surname, profession and local area to see if that brings anything up?

KirstenBlest · 30/03/2021 16:07

I take it you don't speak Welsh OP.

Cwaa-aaa-aah-ying over you

Susannahmoody · 30/03/2021 16:07

He's taking the piss?

PuzzleMonkeyMum · 30/03/2021 16:08

Yes! I have searched for Wryan Smith, Rrwn Smith, Rwn Smith and all three of them with ‘driveways’ after but nothing. It’s not the end of the world, he probably wouldn’t have turned up anyway like the last 3 people I called for quotes 😂. But I was just curious as to whether it was missing something really obvious

Yeah maybe he was just taking the piss out of me, I have searched for just Ryan Smith Driveways my city but again nothing.

I don't get it.

How would it be funny?

DogsAreShit · 30/03/2021 16:10

Wrong.

I'd try surname, driveways without Ryan (spelled any way!) See if something comes up with this unknown spelling suddenly becoming apparent!
SleepingStandingUp · 30/03/2021 16:11

Rywan
Rowan
Wyan
Wrayn

picklemewalnuts · 30/03/2021 16:14

Have you tried Rwyan?

Saker · 30/03/2021 16:16

Could it be Rowan?

tanstaafl · 30/03/2021 16:17

Possibly Rywn or Rwyn? ‘w’ has a ‘uh’ sound in Welsh.
Cocolapew · 30/03/2021 16:18

I think Ryuun like pp. Double u, not w.

Onjnmoeiejducwoapy · 30/03/2021 16:18

If you try to google it you get pushed towards Rowan driveways in Bury?

I’m sure people could find it for you if you gave the rough geography?

bendmeoverbackwards · 30/03/2021 16:20

@Easterbunnyispackingherbasket

Wyan and they have a speech impediment? Sorry no help- but Only Fools and Horses came to mind with the Roy Orbison wannabe.. *having a very shitty day and have made myself laugh... Not laughing at those with a speech issue at all.

Why not just ask the person who recommended him..?

SchadenfreudePersonified · 30/03/2021 16:24

Rywn?

Some Welsh spellings have a "w" instead of a vowel eg Twdwr = Tudor

SchadenfreudePersonified · 30/03/2021 16:26

Possibly Rywn or Rwyn?
‘w’ has a ‘uh’ sound in Welsh.**

Sorry tanstaafl - just read through and seen that you beat me too it!

eggandonion · 30/03/2021 16:28

Rowan?

pollywollydoodler · 30/03/2021 16:28

I reckon he's a Wry-un

LoveDrunk · 30/03/2021 16:30

Wryann... double n on the end?

maddiemookins16mum · 30/03/2021 16:31

If ever there was a lesson on ‘unusual’ names and how it affects kids when they are adults, this is it.

Mintyflesh · 30/03/2021 16:31

Wyan?
