What do your kids eat from the chippy?

I fancy Chinese tonight and dp will have fish and chips.
Kids will only pick at chips and might push to a sausage, really trying to encourage them to broaden their horizons any ideas? What’s your kids chippy order?

Oldest two will have pizza, chicken parmo, pineapple ring and chips, cod bites and chips, chop suey roll and chips, or chip butty splash. They're both gannets and will try pretty much anything.

Youngest two will have nuggets, one with no chips because she doesn't like chips so she has nuggets and a slice of a bread when we have chippy tea.

and they eat the free prawn crackers

DS1 (16, pescetarian) fish burger or battered cod and chips.
DS2 (14) chicken burger (mega if an option) and chips.
Both often have corn on the cob as well. Sometimes DS2 and I share chicken wings.

When they were small they usually had fish cakes.

We had a chippy last night. DS had his usual, roe, chips and curry sauce. He will eat pretty much anything though.

Usually fish and chips. 1yr and 3yr old kids.

3 yr old sometimes has a wee bit of my pizza crunch. She loves pickles like her mum 😆 the 1yr also loves a lick of the pickles she's too wee yet to get one lol. My local chippy gives home made coleslaw with fish supper so she also eats that.

Cheesy chips for DD12

DD fish/fish bites & chips with a splash of curry sauce.
DS sausage & chips.

Fish and chips, DD loves them

Younger two share a fish and chips, one prefers the fish and the other prefers the chips so it works well. One has peas one has curry.

Older DC have sausage with chips and curry sauce.

Ds usually fish but recently sausage in batter with chips

From Chinese Hong Kong style chicken it’s chicken deep fried in batter then added to a sweet and sour sauce with prawn toast and egg fried rice.

We have Deliveroo plus so no delivery charge so we can order separate takeaways

When I was a child I loved a dressed fish (fish in breadcrumbs rather than batter). I'd have a single dressed fish and share my mum's chips. Once I was a teenager, I got the dressed fish supper.

On the rare occasion they go on their own eg after school they buy a pizza crunchie which is a cheap battered deep fried pizza and absolutely vile

How do you deep fry a pizza? . Surely all the toppings fall off?

My DS loves fish now but went through a stage of having chips and onion rings .

It’s one of these rancid ones that costs about 12p so a dearth of toppings

DH and I wait until the kids are in bed before we have a takeaway. No point in wasting money on them when they will be absolutely delighted with the freezer food I present them with.

Haha same, so true. I am sure it won't be long until he wants to join in with what we have, but don't see the rush to force it. OP chips and then whatever they want that's quick to go with it that can be popped open in the oven?

Mine both like chips and sausage best but will eat the fish from inside a battered fish 😳

They both love Chinese though, mainly noodles but also satay chicken, duck and pancakes etc.

Dd - fish supper or sausage supper
Me - King rib supper
Dh - fish supper

Me too, once lockdown is over I might go for a very long drive further north and try one.

In Scotland that's a Special Fish

Chicken nuggets or sausage supper. I have a large battered sausage and cheesy chips 😋

My DC are adults now, but they liked (and still do) a smoked sausage supper.

My favourite too.

Ours have halloumi burgers or chicken nuggets.
