Was looking for something in 'your orders' and idly clicked the drop-down box to look at previous orders by year.

4 Violent Femmes CDs. Back in the time when they only sold books, CDs and games!
My first non-book/cd/game purchase were two buggy snuggles in 2007.

A world atlas in 2010 apparently, it was a present for the husband.

I thought I would probably have used Amazon before then for books but maybe not.

Apparently Serenity (a sci fi film) in 2006. I remember buying it, as a present for my then-bf, but I'm surprised it's the first thing I ever got from there!

I still love Trouser Jazz! And I still keep my teabags in a Mr Scruff tea tin! He was actually local to me, I last saw him play at a community event in my park.

Interesting thread!

Mine was a book by Philip Gourevitch about the Rwandan genocide, titled 'We wish to inform you that tomorrow we will be killed by our families'.

It was for my African Studies module at university. I've just had a massive flashback to that time, sitting in the computer room at uni trying to write my essay, and hoping desperately to get an email from my best mate (who became my boyfriend three weeks later and my husband five years later).

Awwww.
