It is a lovely photo, they are besotted with each other. They want to control their own narrative, decided how much they want to share with the public themselves, not be dictated to by royal convention. I can understand that.

Cokie3 · 15/02/2021 09:09

@EllasAuntie I feel so sorry for Harry

I feel so sorry for you. It must be hard being so miserable and bitter.

AledsiPad · 15/02/2021 09:11

Diana announced he her pregnancy with Harry on Valentine’s Day. Maybe, just maybe, he thought it would be nice to do the same with his second child. I mean, how dare they mention/honour/remember his mother in any way? Must be manipulation. Not at all loving respect.

I don’t get it, I really don’t. K&W are smug, superior and thoroughly unlikeable, W in particular. Yet they are lauded. M & H refuse to capitulate to ridiculous expectations and are lambasted. It’s bizarre.

Princess diana announced her pregnancy with harry on valentine's day so they may have wanted to do the same, but of course to a certain type of bitter person it must be to steal Eugenie's limelight!

Samcro · 15/02/2021 09:13

@EuroTrashed

Lovely photo. Amazing they waited several months for the reveal to coincide with Eugenio’s big news (again). Meghan must really dislike her.
wow people really do look for something nasty to say. why can't people just say something nice. Eugenie has had her baby days ago. should they never reveal the pregnancy just in case.
Cokie3 · 15/02/2021 09:13

Here's an idea; if you don't like them then why bother commenting on here? Unless your goal is just to be bitchy, which is against the spirit of the site. So just don't open the thread then. If you have nothing nice to say, etc....

Justme10 · 15/02/2021 09:14

The 12 week scan doesn't automatically give reassurance that you won't miscarry again, I waited until I was closer to 5 months before telling people I was pregnant so maybe they felt the same? It's not hard to understand.

And the 14th is when Charles and Diana announced she was pregnant with Harry so they decided to wait until the 14th as well, very sweet in my opinion.

Awww I didn’t know this. That’s really very sweet and also sad, brings a tear to my eye.

Yes, the bitterness on this thread is really quite staggering. Cue loads of frothing from posters who claim they aren't bitter at all...

You should have seen the other two threads that got pulled. People seemed furious. Confused
Roussette · 15/02/2021 09:20

Cokie3 Because some posters cannot resist sticking the boot in because its M&H. They can't help it. Even with something that is so obviously good news. Certain posters would never ever find anything good about them because they have ingrained hate of them. And of course they are annoyed that they're not impoding and splitting up, which is what deep down they want to happen, so they have to pull apart the good news.

Princess Eugenie had her baby almost a week ago. Are Meghan and Harry supposed to wait for until she’s named him, then x amount of days so they don’t steal that thunder Hmm, before they announce it?

Has it occurred to you that Eugenie may actually be really happy for them?

Roussette · 15/02/2021 09:21

People are furious! M&H are living their best life and are happy! That wasn't meant to happen!

Tullyjune · 15/02/2021 09:21

Why do people get so wound up with Harry and Meghan? It’s quite extraordinary. Many famous people ask for privacy while still keeping a public profile. In fact I think ALL famous people do this! No one famous says “please intrude on my life and print anything you want about me”!

Okbutnotgreat · 15/02/2021 09:23

I’m happy if they’re happy. It’s a lovely private photo that should have stayed private really but they are all about the photo opportunity and the Hollywood look these days, it’s where the money is. That’s all the thought I’ll give it.

stairway · 15/02/2021 09:25

I don’t like the photo tbh. Harry has his smelly man feet on display and Meghan looks like she is about to give birth. I am however delighted by their news.

Mrbob · 15/02/2021 09:26

@mootymoo

I thought they wanted privacy, to be private citizens??? Private citizens don't post about their lives on public access websites unless they want to court publicity
Um yes they do ALL THE FUCKING TIME. Half the people on this thread probably put their scan photos on Facebook many without proper privacy settings.
31RooCambon · 15/02/2021 09:26

@aledsipad, well, it's not ''bizarre'' that H&M come in for criticism.

They had put themselves in the firing line with their own actions (things they had choice over), so calling it bizarre that they're criticised is what's bizarre. eg Saying they'll have two children max because of the environmental impact and then flying regularly (pre-covid) that is the sort of thing that invites criticism.

Their ''charity'' is dodgy, don't know who'd give money to it, they have used the courts to settle grievances.

I don't care, so don't label me ''bitter'' as I'm glad they're having a second. But have your eyes open. They aren't self-aware enough to avoid giving mixed messages and that is why they are criticised. It's not that they have so much integrity they refuse to ''capitulate'' to the bullying RF.

Coronateachingagain · 15/02/2021 09:27

@Roussette when was the last time someone living and 8th to the throne became king? We will care when it is relevant.
Those two do double speak and they are digging a bigger hole, at least in the eyes of many in the Uk. They are blinded by the US culture too. He does not know any better, and she is so self cantered she will never see a big picture that doesn't include herself in the middle. Good riddance and they can have a good life but not at the expense of fake PR. So much for setting a foundation as a division of a big for profit company. Nice gig, gives you a fabulous lifestyle - but I am not falling for it, can see the play too clearly.

Roussette · 15/02/2021 09:30

What a sad shame that on a parenting site frequented by mostly women, that they can't either avoid the thread, or wish them congratulations. But use this announement to spread the nastiness. So much for women supporting women eh?

ScrambledSmegs · 15/02/2021 09:30

Well exactly @Tullyjune. It's pretty much standard. It's just because Harry is part of the RF that for some reason many people think they own him in some capacity. It's the weirdest mentality.

It probably doesn't help that Diana is his mother as well, the national psyche is seriously warped around her life and death.

Roussette · 15/02/2021 09:32

Coronateachingagain

No idea of the point you are making. Eugenie's child is about 12th in line to the throne but they issued stylised pics of pregnancy and birth?

I find your post abhorrent.

Oh my God, calm down! People can be happy for them and yet still understand why they are criticised. That is my perspective.

They do lecture people a lot and I was responding to somebody who said it was ''Bizarre'' that they are criticised. It's not bizarre.

They need to make that charity of theirs a lot more transparent because there is a lot there to bring on more criticism. They need to be above criticism.

And that goes for anybody who sets up a charity.

Lelophants · 15/02/2021 09:36

People are craaaazy.

A normal celeb couple would show a point of them pregnant because you know it's obvious as one point. Then they would be let me.

But no meghan needs to be trashed. Confused

Roussette · 15/02/2021 09:38

Calm down lol.

Don't worry, I'm quite calm. Thanks for your concern though!
Maybe I touched a nerve...
